5 USING THE SNOW THROWER
5.1 GENERAL
Never start the engine until all the above measures under 
ASSEMBLY have been carried out. 
Never use the snow thrower without first reading 
and understanding the instructions and all the 
warning and instruction stickers on the machine. 
Always use protective goggles or a visor during 
use, maintenance and service.
5.2 BEFORE STARTING
The snow thrower is delivered without oil in the engine. Fill 
the engine with oil before using. The oil is supplied in...

3.  Turn the adjustment lever and set the deflector to throw 
the snow in the direction of the wind.
4.  Set the gear lever to a suitable position. 
The gear stick must not be moved if the driving 
clutch lever is depressed.
5.  Press down the auger clutch lever (13 in fig. 7/8) to 
activate the auger and discharge fan.
Watch out for rotating auger. Keep hands, feet, 
hair and loose clothing away from any moving 
parts on the machine.

7.3 WORM GEAR
The worm gear if filled with special lubricant at the factory. 
Refilling is not normally required.
Loosen the plug once a year and check if the worm gear 
contains lubricant (fig 14).
If it is leaking or has been repaired it must be refilled with 
lubricant. The worm gear holds 92 grams of lubricant at the 
most.
Use Shell Darina 1, Texaco Thermatex EP1, Mobiltem 78, 
Benalene #372 Grease or similar.

8.4 ADJUSTING THE BELT GUIDE
1.  Remove the spark plug protection.
2.  Remove the belt protective cover (1) by loosening the 
screws (2). See fig. 16.
3.  Activate the auger clutch lever (13 in fig 7/8).
4.  Check the distance between the belt guide and the belt. 
The distance should be 3 mm. See fig 17.
5.  If adjustment is required, loosen the screw to the belt 
guide and set the correct distance.
6.  Tighten the screw properly.

9 STORAGE
Never store the snow thrower with petrol in the 
tank in a confined area with bad ventilation. Petrol 
fumes could reach open flames, sparks, cigarettes 
etc.
If the snow thrower is to be stored for a longer period than 30 
days, the following measures are recommended:
1.  Empty the petrol tank.
2.  Start the engine and let it run until it stops due to lack of 
fuel.
Empty the petrol tank outdoors when the engine is 
cold. Do not smoke. Empty into a container

• Il est interdit de déconnecter les dispositifs de sécurité ou 
d’en empêcher le fonctionnement.
• Ne pas modifier le réglage du moteur. Ne pas pousser le 
moteur à plein régime. Le risque de blessure augmente 
lorsque le moteur tourne à plein régime.
• Ne pas déneiger à proximité de clôtures, véhicules, 
fenêtres ou sur des pentes escarpées sans adapter le 
déflecteur déjection. 
• Éloigner les enfants des zones à déneiger et confier leur 
surveillance à un adulte.

3.6 VÉRIFICATION DES CÂBLES
Il peut être nécessaire de procéder au réglage des câbles 
avant la première utilisation.

3.7 PRESSION DES PNEUS
Vérifier la pression d’air dans les pneus. Pressions correctes 
: 1,0 – 1,2 bar.

5 UTILISATION DU CHASSE-NEIGE
5.1 GÉNÉRALITÉS
Ne pas démarrer le moteur avant d’avoir accompli toutes les 
étapes décrites sous le chapitre MONTAGE. 
Avant d’utiliser le chasse-neige, lire attentivement 
le mode d’emploi, les instructions et les étiquettes 
de sécurité apposée sur la machine. 
Porter impérativement des lunettes de protection 
ou une visière pendant l’utilisation, la 
maintenance et les entretiens.
5.2 AVANT LE DÉMARRAGE
Le chasse-neige est livré sans huile moteur. Commencer...

5.6 ARRÊT
1.  Débrayer les deux leviers. Remarque : Si le chasse-neige 
continue à fonctionner, voir le point RÉGLAGE DES 
CÂBLES ci-dessous.
2.  Retirer la clé de contact. Ne pas tourner la clé !
Si la machine est abandonnée sans surveillance, 
couper le moteur et retirer la clé de contact. 
5.7 DÉMARRAGE
1.  Démarrer le moteur comme indiqué ci-dessus et le laisser 
chauffer pendant quelques minutes.
2.  Régler le déflecteur.
