To adjust the overall volume level using hardware controls: ■If you are using external speakers, turn the knob on the front of the speakers. -OR- Use the mute and volume control buttons on the keyboard. This means that they can be used for more than one purpose. For example, universal jack 1 on the notebook can be a microphone jack, a stereo in jack, or a stereo out jack. To make an audio recording: 1Plug a microphone into the Microphone jack on your notebook.
