fromthespindle.
WhenyouinstallVectoragain,youmustrecalibratethesystem.
InstallingthePedal,UpgradeWasher,and
NewPedalPod
NOTE:Theleftandrightpedalpodsarethesame.
1Installtheleftpedalfirst.
2PlacetheblueupgradewasherÀonthespindle.
3ApplyathinlayerofgreaseonthepedalspindlethreadsÁ.
4InsertthespindleintothecrankarmÂ.
5Handtightenthespindle.
NOTE:Theleftpedalspindlehasaleft-handed(reverse)
thread.
6Usethepedalwrenchtotightenthespindle.
NOTE:Garminrecommendstorqueof25to30lbf-ft.(34to
40N-m).
7Cleanallexcessgreasefromthespindleusingacleancloth andsoapywaterorisopropylalcohol.
8PlacethenewpedalpodÃonthespindle.
NOTE:YoumustcarefullybendthecableÄoutoftheway.
Thepedalpodshouldbeflatagainstthecrankarm.
TIP:Powerandcadencecalculationsarenotimpactedbythe
orientationofthepedalpod.Garminrecommendsplacingthe
pedalpodontheleadingedgeofthecrank.Whenthecrank
isintheforwardposition,thepedalpodshouldbepointing downward.
9Firmlyplugthecableintothespindle.
10InsertthescrewÅintothepedalpod,andusethe2.5mm
hexkeytotightenthescrew.
11Rotatethecrankarmtocheckforclearance.
Thepedalpodshouldnotinterferewithanypartofthebike.
12Repeatsteps2through11toinstalltherightpedalandpedal pod.
NOTE:Ifthepedalpodcablerubsthechain,youcanadd
oneortwowashersbetweenthespindleandthecrankarm toincreaseclearance.Donotusemorethantwowashers.
InstallingtheRightPedal
ThisprocedureisfortheVectorSsystem.
1Applyathinlayerofgreaseonthepedalspindlethreads.
2Insertthespindleintothecrankarm.
3Handtightenthespindle.
4Usethepedalwrenchtotightenthespindle.
NOTE:Garminrecommendstorqueof25to30lbf-ft.(34to
40N-m).
