InstallingtheLeftPedalandPedalPod ThisprocedureisfortheVectorSsystem. 1ApplyathinlayerofgreaseonthepedalspindlethreadsÀ. 2InsertthespindleintothecrankarmÁ. 3Handtightenthespindle. NOTE:Theleftpedalspindlehasaleft-handed(reverse) thread. 4Usethepedalwrenchtotightenthespindle. NOTE:Garminrecommendstorqueof25to30lbf-ft.(34to 40N-m). 5Cleanallexcessgreasefromthespindleusingacleancloth andsoapywaterorisopropylalcohol. 6PlacethepedalpodÂonthespindle. NOTE:YoumustcarefullybendthecableÃoutoftheway. Thepedalpodshouldbeflatagainstthecrankarm. TIP:Powerandcadencecalculationsarenotimpactedbythe orientationofthepedalpod.Garminrecommendsplacingthe pedalpodontheleadingedgeofthecrank.Whenthecrank isintheforwardposition,thepedalpodshouldbepointing downward. 7Firmlyplugthecableintothespindle. 8InsertthescrewÄintothepedalpod,andusethe2.5mm hexkeytotightenthescrew. 9Rotatethecrankarmtocheckforclearance. Thepedalpodshouldnotinterferewithanypartofthebike. InstallingtheRightPedal ThisprocedureisfortheVectorSsystem. 1Applyathinlayerofgreaseonthepedalspindlethreads. 2Insertthespindleintothecrankarm. 3Handtightenthespindle. 4Usethepedalwrenchtotightenthespindle.
