If the printer supports PictBridge, the camera can be connected directly to the printer and 
pictures can be printed without first being copied to a computer.  Note that depending on 
the printer, not all the functions described below may be supported.

To print the date of recording on pictures, press DISP/
BACK  in steps 1–2 to display the PictBridge menu (see 
“Printing the DPOF Print Order,” below).  Press the se-
lector up or down to highlight PRINT WITH DATE  s 
and press  MENU/OK to return to the PictBridge display 
(to print pictures without the date of recording, select 
PRINT WITHOUT DATE ).

The K PRINT ORDER (DPOF)  option in the 
playback menu can be used to create a digital 
“print order” for PictBridge-compatible printers 
( P  107) or devices that support DPOF.
 DPOF
DPOF ( Digital  Print  Order  Format) is a stan-
dard that allows pictures to be printed from 
“print orders” stored in internal memory or 
on a memory card.  The information in the 
order includes the pictures to be printed, date im-
print, and the number of copies of each picture.
