Choose whether the  [AEL/AFL] button locks exposure (A E), focus (AF), or both.
The  [AEL/AFL]  button locks exposure only.
The  [AEL/AFL]  button locks focus only.
The  [AEL/AFL]  button locks both exposure and focus.

Choose how the camera measures the brightness of the subject. Automatic scene recognition is used to adjust exposure for a wide
range of shooting conditions.
The camera meters lighting conditions in the selected focus area or at
the center of the frame. Recommend ed when the background is much
brighter or darker than the main subject.
If  [INTERLOCK SPOT AE & FOCUS AREA]  is [ON]  and
[AREA] is selected for  [AUTOFOCUS SETTING]  > [AF
MODE] , the camera will meter lighting...

Select [ON] to meter the current focus frame when  [AREA] is selected for  [AUTOFOCUS
SETTING]  > [AF MODE] and  [SPOT] is selected for  [PHOTOMETRY].

Choose [ON] to remove red-eye effects caused by the  flash when shooting with Intelligent Face
Detection.
Red-eye reduction is performed only when a face is detected.
Red-eye removal is not av ailable with RAW images.

Choose a flash mode. The flash fires when required. Recommended in most
situations.
The flash fires whenever a picture is taken. Use for backlit
subjects or for natural coloration when shooting in bright
light.
Capture both the main subject and the background under
low light (note that brightly lit scenes may be
overexposed).
A flash mounted on the hot shoe can be used to control
optional remote flash units.

Adjust flash brightness.
Note that the desired results may not be achieved depending on shooting conditions and
the distance to the subject.

Choose the shutter type. Choose the electronic shutter to mute the shutter sound.
Take pictures with th e mechanical shutter.
Take pictures with th e electronic shutter.
The camera chooses the shutte r type according to shooting
conditions.
If  [ELECTRONIC SHUTTER]  or [MECHANICAL+ELECTRONIC]  is selected, shutter
speeds faster than 1/4,000 s can be chosen by rotating the shutter speed dial to 4000
and then rotating the command dial.

Adjust movie settings.

[MIC/REMOTE RELEASE]
Choose a frame size and rate for movies.
Choose the sensitvity for movie recording.
[MOVIE ISO] does not affect the option selected for recording photographs.
Adjust the microphone recording level.
