     RS-232C external control
    By connecting a computer to the projector with a RS-232C cross cable (D-sub 9 pins), you can control the projector with the
    computer. The commands to control the projector and the response data format against the received commands are explained
    here.
    For details, please consult the authorized dealer where you purchased your projector.
    1. Communication Specifications
    The communication specifications are as follows.

    2. Command Format
    2-1 Command data format
    When sending a control command to the projector, use the following data format.

    Header : Designates the head of data and the data type.
    : ‘!’ (21h): Assigns command to the projector
    : ‘?’ (3Fh): Query to the projector (Asking command)
    ID : ‘1’: The identification number of the projector. (Manufacturer set value ‘1’)
    SP : Designates the delimiter for ID, Command, and Parameter. (20h)
    CR : Designates the terminal of the data. (0Dh)
    * [  ] is not necessary for Asking command.
    2-2 Response data format
    Upon executing the received control command, the projector sends back the following response data to the computer.

    ID : ‘1’: The identification number of the projector. (Manufacturer set value”1”)

    CR : Designates the terminal of the data. (0Dh)
    2-3 Parameters used for the data format The following three kinds of parameters are used for control commands and response data.
    1)  Numeric value
    2)  ON/OFF
    3)  Special parameters
    Each parameter is as follows:
    1) Numeric value
    A 2-byte hexadecimal value (sign included) is represented by a set of 4 digit (4 bytes) characters.
    Designated range: ‘8000’ to ‘7FFF’.
    2) ON/OFF Shows the status (ON/OFF) of the projector, such as POWER and HIDE.

    FAROUDJA WARRANTY STATEMENT 
     
    Faroudja®, a division of Genesis Microchip Inc.  warranties that its products will substantially 
    conform to published specifications, subject to the terms and conditions below. These  warranties 
    are limited to the first purchaser of the products (“Purchaser”)for the period listed below from the 
    date of sale. 
     
    Video Processors:   Two (2) years limited parts and labor 
    DVD Drives:    One (1) year limited parts and labor 
    Plasmas (HD20 version): Four (4) years limited parts and labor (Image burn-in is not covered) 
    Projectors:   
    DILA3 and DLPHD20   Two (2) years limited parts and labor (Image burn-in is not covered) 
    DILA2     Three (3) years limited parts and labor (Image burn-in is not covered) 
     
    These limited warranties are contingent upon proper use and installation and does not apply to 
    products damaged as a result of accident, misuse, neglect, alteration, improper installation, 
    unusual physical or electrical stress or unauthorized repair. Image burn-in on display devices is 
    not covered under warranty. See individual product warranty statement for warranty limitations. 
    All warranty claims should be made at the place of purchase. No products may be returned to 
    Faroudja without its consent. If requested by Faroudja, Purchaser must provide proof of purchase 
    and return defective products to Faroudja with the appropriate Return Material Authorization 
    (RMA) completed, a Faroudja RMA number assigned and transportation charges prepaid. 
    Warranty may be void if unit is not returned to Faroudja Service in the original shipping carton.
     
     
     
    Should a product fail to conform to the warranty above, then Faroudja shall, at Faroudja’s sole 
    option, (i) repair the non-conforming product or portion thereof, provided that the product is returned 
    to Faroudja within the warranty period in accordance with the return procedures set forth above, or  
    (ii) provide Purchaser with replacement for the non-conforming product or portion thereof. The 
    preceding sentence states Faroudja’s entire liability and Purchaser’s exclusive remedy with respect 
    to breach of the warranty.   
     
     
    THE FOREGOING WARRANTIES ARE IN LIEU  OF ALL WARRANTIES EXPRESSED, IMPLIED 
    OR STATUTORY, REGARDING THE PRODUCTS, AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, 
    INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY 
    OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND ANY OTHER WARRANTY OBLIGATIONS  ON THE PART OF FAROUDJA OR GENESIS MICROCHIP INC. IN NO EVENT WILL 
    FAROUDJA OR GENESIS MICROCHIP INC. BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF PROFITS OR  GOODWILL, OR DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL 
    DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, HOWEVER CAUSED, WHETHER BY FAROUDJA’S BREACH OF 
    WARRANTY OR BY FAROUDJA’S SOLE OR 
    CONCURRENT NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE. 
     
    FAROUDJA may change product specifications and warranty policy at any time
