7. Use your computer or wireless device to select the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) displayed on the
LCD screen, then enter the password shown.
8. Press the OKbutton to exit.
You see either an APorDirect connection symbol on the LCD screen and should be able to print
directly to your product from your computer or device.
Note: If theAPorDirect connection symbol is not displayed on the LCD screen, Wi-Fi Direct mode
is not enabled. Repeat these steps to try again.

Using WPS to Connect to a Network
If you have a WPS-enabled wireless router or access point, you can use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) to
connect your product to the network.
1. Press theWPSbutton on your router.
2. On the product, press the home button, if necessary.
3. Press the left or right arrow button, select Wi-Fi Setup, and pressOK.
4. Press the up or down arrow button, select Push Button Setup (WPS), then pressOK.

Printing a Network Status Sheet You can print a network status sheet to help you determine the causes of any problems you may have
using your product on a network.
1. Press the home button, if necessary.
2. Press the left or right arrow buttons to select Setupand press the OKbutton.
3. Press the up or down arrow buttons to select Wi-Fi Settingsand press theOKbutton.

Accessing the Web Config Utility
You can select your products network settings and confirm its operating status using a web browser.
You do this by accessing your products built-in Web Config utility from a computer or other device that is
connected to the same network as your product.
1. Print a network status sheet.
2. Locate the IP Address for your product that is listed on the network status sheet.
3. On a computer or other device connected to the same network as your product, open a webbrowser.

Loading Paper for Documents You can print documents on a variety of paper types and sizes.
1. Flip the feeder guard forward.
2. Pull up the paper support and its extension.
3. Pull out the output tray and open the paper stopper on the end.

Note:
If you print on legal-size or longer paper, leave the paper stopper closed.
4. Slide the edge guide left.
5. If you are inserting a stack of paper, fan the sheets first and tap the stack on a flat surface to even the edges.
6. Insert paper, glossy or printable side up and short edge first, against the right side and beneath the line on the left edge guide.
7. Slide the edge guide against the paper, but not too tightly.

Always follow these paper loading guidelines:
• Load only the recommended number of sheets.
• Load paper short edge first, no matter which way your document faces.
• Load letterhead or pre-printed paper top edge first.
• Do not load paper past the line on the left edge guide.
• Check the paper package for any additional loading instructions.
