Checking the Ink Levels
You can check the amount of the remaining ink of each ink 
cartridge.
Note:
If EPSON Stylus Pro 4800 is not connected properly or EPSON Status 
Monitor 3 is not installed, Cartridge Option appears instead. 
The Cartridge Option is not displayed for EPSON Stylus Pro 4400.

Previewing your printout
If you select the Print Preview check box, you can see how your 
printout will look before printing. When you send a print job to 
the printer, the EPSON Print Preview window appears, allowing 
you to make changes before printing.
The EPSON Preview toolbar contains several buttons that you can 
use to perform the following functions.

size of the previewed image.

You can also manipulate the previewed data in the following 
ways.
❏Select and preview individual pages.
❏Reduce or enlarge the size of preview.
❏Select and print any or all pages.
❏Magnify the previewed document: Click View and then select 
Magnify to open the Magnify window, which magnifies the 
area of the previewed document outlined by the red box. By 
dragging the red box, you can change the part of the 
document to magnify.

Making Settings on the Paper Menu
You can make Paper Source, Borderless, Auto Cut, Paper Size 
(Page Size), Copies, Orientation, and Printable Area or Roll Paper 
Option settings on this menu.

❏When Paper Tray or Manual Feed is selected as the Paper 
Source setting, Printable Area appears on the menu by default.

❏Most Windows applications feature paper size and page layout 
settings that override similar settings in the printer driver. 
However, if your application does not have these features, verify the 
settings on the printer driver’s Paper menu.
Making the Paper Source setting
You can select Paper Tray, Roll Paper, Roll Paper (Banner), or 
Manual Feed from the Paper Source setting. Select one that 
matches the paper loaded in the printer.

❏You cannot perform borderless printing on cut-sheet media with a 
width of 420 mm (A2).
❏When printing on roll paper with a width of 8 inches or 420 mm 
(A2), attach a spacer to the spindle. See “Attaching the spacer to the 
spindle” on page 260.
❏If your application has margin settings, make sure they are set to 
zero before printing.
❏When printing on cut-sheet media, only the left and right margins 
are set to zero.

6. Start printing your data from your application.
Making the Auto Cut setting
This setting is available only when Roll Paper or Roll Paper 
(Banner) is selected as the Paper Source setting. You can select 
how the paper is cut after printing. 
Single Cut
Select this setting if you want to save paper. If you select this 
setting, the boundary of a picture or the boundary of a page is cut. 
However, the cut position may shift slightly.

Double Cut
Select this setting to avoid the slight gap that occurs with the 
Single Cut setting. A margin is created between pictures, and 
1 mm along the inside of each picture is cut.
Note:
This setting appears only when the Borderless check box is selected.
Normal Cut
Select this setting to keep margins at the top and bottom of the 
printed data.
