If you mount theprojector forstandard lampuse,youcantiltitat the following angles: • Vertically :Any angle upto±100 °. • Horizontally :Within therange of±5 °. If you mount theprojector forportrait lampuse,youcantiltitat the following angles: • Vertically :Any angle upto±10 °. • Horizontally :Within therange ofup to±10 °. 31
Note: Theoptional installation frame(ELPMB44) andportrait lamps(ELPLP83/ELPLP84) arerequired when usingportrait projection. Besure tomount theprojector withtheairintake ventfacing downandat least 4inches (10cm) ofspace between theprojector andthemounting surfaceasshown. If you project fromtheceiling, remove theprojectors feetand attach thefoot covers asshown. Note: Donot remove theprojectors handles. 32

Projection Distance The distance atwhich youplace theprojector fromthescreen determines theapproximate sizeofthe image. Theimage sizeincreases thefarther theprojector isfrom thescreen, butcan vary depending on the zoom factor, aspect ratio,andother settings. Use thetables heretodetermine approximately howfartoplace theprojector fromthescreen basedon the size ofthe projected image.(Conversion figuresmayhave been rounded upordown.) Removing andAttaching theInterface Cover Remove theinterface coverbefore installing theprojector sothat itis easier toconnect thecables after installation. 1. Push upand hold theinterface coverlatchwhile pressing thebutton onthe side asshown. Pullthe interface coverstraight offthe projector. 2. Ifyou willroute theconnected cablesthrough thetopofthe projector, removethetoppanel fromthe interface cover.Ifyou willroute theconnected cablesthrough thebottom, remove thebottom panel. 37
