Entering aPassword toUse theProjector If a password isset upand aPower OnProtection passwordisenabled, youseeaprompt toenter a password whenever youturn onthe projector. You must enter thecorrect password touse theprojector. 1. Press andhold down theNum button onthe remote controlwhileyouenter thepassword usingthe numeric buttons. The password screencloses. 2. Ifthe password isincorrect, thefollowing mayhappen: • You seeawrong password messageandaprompt totry again. Enterthecorrect password to proceed. • Ifyou enter anincorrect password severaltimesinsuccession, theprojector displaysarequest code andamessage tocontact EpsonSupport. Donot attempt toenter thepassword again. 121
When youcontact EpsonSupport, providethedisplayed requestcodeandproof ofownership for assistance inunlocking theprojector. The image youselect asthe Users Logocanbeaphoto, graphic, orcompany logo,which isuseful in identifying theprojectors ownertohelp deter theft.Youcanprevent changes tothe Users Logoby setting uppassword protection forit. 1. Display theimage youwant toproject asthe Users Logo. 2. Press theMenu button, selecttheExtended menu,andpress Enter. 3. Select theUsers Logosetting andpress Enter. You seeaprompt askingifyou want touse thedisplayed imageasausers logo. 4. Select Yesandpress Enter. You seeaselection boxoverlaying yourimage. 5. Use thearrow buttons onthe remote controlorcontrol paneltosurround theimage areayouwant to use asthe Users Logoandpress Enter. 122

Locking theProjector s Buttons You canlock thebuttons onthe projectors controlpaneltoprevent anyonefromusing theprojector. You can lock allthe buttons orall the buttons exceptthepower button. Note: Youcanalso lockthebuttons onthe remote controlbypressing andholding theHelp button on the remote controlforabout fiveseconds. Thisfunction locksallremote controlbuttons exceptthose used forbasic operation. 1. Press thelock button onthe control panel. Note: Toaccess theControl PanelLockscreen through theprojectors menus,presstheMenu button, selectSettings ,press Enter,select Control PanelLock,and press Enter.If you want to prevent anyonefromadjusting thelens, youcansetthe Lens Operation Locksetting inthe Settings menutoOn . 2.
