If you want tooutput audiofromtheexternal speakers whentheprojector isturned off,you need to select Communication Onforthe Standby Modesetting andAlways Onforthe AVOutput settingin the projectors Extendedmenu. Note: Theprojectors built-inspeaker systemisdisabled whenyouconnect external speakers. 1. Make sureyourcomputer orvideo source isconnected tothe projector withboth audio andvideo cables asnecessary. 2. Locate theappropriate cabletoconnect yourexternal speakers, suchasastereo mini-jack-to-pin- jack cable, oranother typeofcable oradapter. 3. Connect oneendofthe cable toyour external speakers asnecessary. 4. Connect thestereo mini-jack endofthe cable toyour projectors AudioOutport. Connecting toaWired Network To connect theprojector toawired localareanetwork (LAN),usea100Base-TX or10Base-T network cable. Toensure properdatatransmission, useaCategory 5eshielded cableorbetter. 1. Connect oneendofthe network cabletoyour network hub,switch, orrouter. 2. Connect theother endofthe cable tothe projectors LANport. Note: Thelocation ofthe LAN portmay differ depending onthe projector model. Note: Usethedisplayed keyboardtoenter thename, passwords andkeyword. Pressthearrow buttons onthe remote controltohighlight characters andpress Enter toselect them. 7. Select theWired LANmenu andpress Enter. 8. Ifnecessary, selectIPSettings andpress Enter. 9. Select yourIPSettings asnecessary: • Ifyour network assignsaddresses automatically, turnonthe DHCP setting. • Ifyou must setaddresses manually,turnoffDHCP andenter theprojectors IPAddress ,Subnet Mask ,and Gateway Addressasneeded. Note: Tohighlight thenumbers youwant fromthedisplayed keyboard, pressthearrow buttons on the remote control. Toselect ahighlighted number,pressEnter. 50
