3. Pull theairfilter outofthe projector. 4. Tap each sideofthe airfilter 4to 5times toshake offany excess dust. Caution: Donot use excessive forcewhen tapping theairfilter, oritmay crack andbecome unusable. Donot rinse theairfilter inwater, oruse anydetergent orsolvent toclean it.Do not use canned air;the gases mayleave aresidue orpush dustanddebris intotheprojectors opticsorother sensitive areas. 143

5. Vacuum thefront ofthe airfilter (theside withthetabs) toremove anyremaining dust. Note: Ifdust isdifficult toremove orthe airfilter isdamaged, replacetheairfilter. 6. Replacing theAirFilter You need toreplace theairfilter inthe following situations: • After cleaning theairfilter, youseeamessage tellingyoutoclean orreplace it • The airfilter istorn ordamaged You canreplace theairfilter while theprojector ismounted tothe ceiling, ifnecessary. 1. 3. Use thescrewdriver includedwiththereplacement lamptoloosen thescrew securing thelamp cover, andthen remove thelamp cover. Warning: Ifthe lamp isbroken, glassfragments maybeloose inside thelamp chamber. Becareful removing anybroken glasstoavoid injury. 4. Loosen thescrews securing thelamp tothe projector.
