If they are not cleaned periodically, they can become clogged with dust, preventing proper ventilation. This can cause overheating and damage the projector. 102Maintaining the Projector Replacing the Filters 1. Turn the projector over (unless it’s ceiling-mounted). 2. Remove the filters from the projector by sliding them out to the sides. 3. Remove each filter from its holder by releasing the two tabs, as shown. 4. Install new filters in the holders, aligning the tabs with the slots on each side. 5. Maintaining the Projector103 Replacing the Lamp The projection lamp lasts up to 7000 hours. (Lamp life results will vary depending upon environmental conditions and usage.) Turn the projector off when not in use. Continuous 24-hour-a-day use may reduce the overall life of this product. When the lamp nears the end of its life (as determined from projector usage), the message LAMP REPLACE appears on the screen and the lamp warning light flashes orange. 104Maintaining the Projector5. Loosen the lamp cover screws (you don’t need to take them out all the way). Then remove the cover. 6. Loosen the three screws holding the lamp in place (you can’t remove them). 7. Grasp the wire handle as shown and pull the lamp straight out. 8. Gently insert the new lamp. 9. 110Solving Problems When the power and temperature lights are red, the projector has overheated, which turns off the lamp automatically. Wait about 5 minutes for the projector to cool, then unplug the power cord. Verify that the air filter is not clogged. Clean or replace it as described on page 101.
