48 Maintenance Indicators About the lamp indicator When the remaining lamp life becomes 5% or less, (yellow) and “Change The Lamp” will be displayed on the screen. When the percentage becomes 0%, it will change to (red), the lamp will automatically turn off and then the projector will automatically enter standby mode. 50 Regarding the Lamp LampIt is recommended that the lamp (sold separately) be replaced when the remaining lamp life becomes 5% or less, or when you notice a significant deterioration in the picture and color quality. The lamp life (percentage) can be checked with the on-screen display. 51 Removing and Installing the Lamp Unit • Make sure that you remove the lamp unit by the handle. Do not touch the glass surface of the lamp unit or the inside of the projector. • To avoid injury to yourself and damage to the lamp, be sure to carefully follow the steps below. • Do not loosen other screws except for the lamp unit cover and lamp unit. Press oSTANDBY-ON on the pro- jector or eSTANDBY on the re- mote control to put the projector into standby mode. • Wait until the cooling fan stops....
