l Press specific telephone lineckey for line. -or- e Press 1 m 4 on the telephone dial pad for line group. -or- e Press 0 on the telephone dial pad for no selection. (When 0 is stored and automatic dialing is used, system will pick line as- signed to telephone or last line used.) . Dial the number sequence to be stored from the telephone dial pad (up to 16 digits). l To store a pause, press HOLD on telephone. . To store a flash, press RECALL on telephone. To store another number for automatic dialing, l Press SAVE on telephone. . Press next Module key (or press HOLD plus Module key if DSS/BLF is programmed). l Select line, group or none as described above. e Dial number sequence as described above. . Repeat this procedure for each desired key. HINT: Store often-used, host system PBX or CENTREX feature access codes at Module key locations. This will provide one-key access to those host system features. To end programming, l Press MONITOR on telephone. To dial numbers automatically, 0 Press desired Module key. -or- . If desired key is also programmed for DSS/BLF operation, e Press HOLD on telephone and then press desired key on Module. . When party answers, lift handset of telephone. OFF-HOOK VOICE ANNOUNCE AND HANDSFREE ANSWER- BACK The Adjunct Feature Module can receive a voice signalled intercom call (voice announce) at the same time that the paired station is active on another call. You can answer the voice sig- nalled intercom call in a handsfree manner without interrupting your currently active call. To answer voice announce in a COMDIAL Made rJ&t in the USA handsfree manner, . Hear voice signalling (voice announce) over Executech Module speaker, l Respond to voice announce by speaking toward Module (handsfree answerback). 32-Button Adjunct Feature Module Adjust the audio level of the voice signalling with the speaker volume control located on the right (With Voice Announce Capability) side of the Module. OVERVIEW The 32Button Adjunct Feature Module extends the memory keys of your Executech II multiline telephone by an additional thirty-two keys and status lights. The keys can be programmed for automatic dialing and/or direct station selection (DSS) with busy lamp field (BLF). This Module also provides an off-hook voice an- nounce and handsfree answerback features. With this capability, a second call can be an- nounced to you while you are engaged on a call. You can respond to the announcement, if neces- sary, in a handsfree manner. AuM DIAL & DSS KEYS 7 DIRECT STATION SELECTION BUSY LAMP FIELD (DSS/BLF) OPERATION DSS/BLF provides one-key intercom calling with visual indication of station status. To program DSS numbers, l Press ITCM on telephone. Listen for tone. l Dial 85 from telephone dial pad. Tone will stop. l Press desired key on Module. l Dial extension number from telephone dial pad. l Repeat previous two steps for all desired sta- tions. l Press MONITOR on telephone when programming is complete. . Record DSS names or locations on supplied reference card and install card on Module faceplate. l Lift out plastic reference card cover from Module faceplate. 0 Write or type names in squares on reference card. 0 Install card under cover and snap cover back into place on Module. NOTE: An autodial number also can be programmed as a secondary function at every DSSBLF memory location. See Automatic Dial- ing instructions for details. l%;$e announce a call to a DSS , l Lift telephone handset. l Press key on Module. l Voice announce. NOTE: If you are transferring a call, the outside line is automatically placed on hold when a DSS key is pressed. To tone signal a call to a DSS number, 0 Lift telephone handset. 0 Press key on Module. . Press ITCM on telephone. When station answers, two-way conversation can take place. The BLF lights that are adjacent to the DSS keys on the Module indicate the status of the sta- tions programmed at the keys. Status condi- tions are as follows: BLF STATUS STATION STATUS Light Off Light Flashing Station Idle Station calling you on intercom line. Light On Steady Station busy. Station in do not dis- turb mode. Light Flutters Station has left call- back message. AUTOMATIC DIALING Auto dialing provides one-key calling of often used numbers and access codes. To store a number for automatic dialing, l Press ITCM on telephone. Listen for tone. l Press SAVE on telephone. Tone will stop. . Press desired key on Module. Listen for fast tone bursts. -or- . If desired key is also programmed for DSS/BLF operation (as described pre- viously), l Press HOLD on telephone and then press desired Module key. l Listen for fast tone bursts. l Select specific line, line group, or no selection as required.
