WhenyouclickUpdateorUpdatealltoupdatethechassiscomponentsofCMC1andCMC2simultaneously, theupdateonthesecondtriggeringservercomponentisskipped,andthesubsequentcomponentisupdated. Updatingthefirmwareoftheharddiskdrivecouldresultindataloss.Ciscorecommendsthatyoutakea completesystembackuppriortoupdatingthefirmware. Important a)Toupdatethefirmwareofalltheharddisks,clickUpdateAll. Withthisoption,HDDswiththelatestfirmwareinstalledarenotupdated. b)ToupdateaspecificHDD,choosetheHDDandclickUpdate. Step 15ClickExittoexitfromtheHUU. Note•IfyouhaveupdatedtheBMCandnottheBIOS,whenyouclickExit,BMCgetsactivatedandyoulose connectivitytotheBMCandKVM. Step 16ClickYesattheconfirmationprompt. Step 17Reboottheservertoapplyfirmwarechanges. Step 18BoottheserverbackintoHUUISO,andclickLastUpdateVerify. ThisactioncomparesthepreviouslyupdatedfirmwareversionforeachcomponentthatwasupdatedusingtheHUU withthecurrentversionofthefirmwareonthecomponentsandprovidesthestatusoftheupdate.
