Wipe your handset before opening the battery cover to prevent moisture or dust from entering. Failure to follow the below directions for installing/removing the battery could result in product failure. Insert the battery cover tabs into the slots and press the battery cover in the direction of the arrow . 5. Press down firmly on the sides of the battery cover at each arrow point, as shown to the right. 6. Slide the Battery Cover Lock to the LOCK position in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure to the right.

Do not press hard on the battery cover with the battery cover tabs running over the handset because you may damage the battery cover tabs.
