Power Requirements
Your camera is powered by a rechargeable lithium ion
battery (NP-20).
The battery is not fully charged when you use the
camera for the first time after purchasing it. You need
to charge the battery before using the camera for the
first time.
To charge the battery
1.Correctly positioning the positive and
negative terminals of the battery, load the
lithium ion battery into the battery charger.

To load the battery
1.Slide the battery cover on the bottom of the
camera in the direction indicated by the
arrow, and then swing it open.
2.With the EXILIM logo on the battery facing
upwards (in the direction of the monitor
screen), hold the stopper in the direction
indicated by the arrow as you slide the
battery into the camera.

Push the bottom of the battery, and make sure that
the stopper securely locks the battery in place.

Low Battery Indicator
The following shows how the battery capacity indicator on
the monitor screen changes as battery power is used. The

To replace the battery
1.Open the battery cover.
2.Pull the stopper in the direction indicated by
the arrow.
This will cause the battery to come part way out of
the slot.

This lithium ion battery is intended for use with a
CASIO Digital Camera only. For details about the
camera models that this battery can be wed with, see
the user documentation that comes with your camera.
Use of a battery in cold environments shortens the
operating time you can expect on a full charge. Charge
the battery in a location where the temperature is in the
range of 10°C to 35°C (50°F to 95°F). Charging outside
this temperature range can cause charging...

BATTERY STORAGE PRECAUTIONS
Make sure you remove the battery from the camera
when you do not plan to use it for a long time. A battery
left in the camera discharges very small amounts of
power even when power is turned off, which can lead to
a dead battery or the need for longer charging before
the next use.
Store the battery in a cool, dry place (20°C (68°F) or
