51 BASIC IMAGE RECORDING Using Zoom Your camera is equipped with two types of zoom: optical zoom and digital zoom. Optical Zoom The range of the optical zoom factor is shown below. The range of the digital zoom factor is shown below. The initial flashes are pre-flashes, which the camera uses to obtain information that it uses for exposure settings. The final flash is for recording.
