22Quick Start Basics Though the camera has built-in memory that can be used to store images and movies, you probably will want to purchase a commercially available memory card for greater capacity. The camera does not come with a memory card. Images recorded while a memory card is loaded are saved to the memory card. 24Quick Start Basics You need to format a new memory card before using it for the first time. 1.Turn on the camera and press [MENU]. 2.On the “Set Up” tab, select “Format” and then press [6]. 3.Use [8] and [2] to select “Format” and then press [SET].
