[Input signal]
Adjust  ng Clock and Phase [Clock / Track  ng]
This allows you to manually adjust [Clock] and [Tracking].
Clock  .....................Use this item to fine tune the computer image or to remove any ver tical banding that might appear. 
This function adjusts the clock frequencies that eliminate the horizontal banding in the image.
This adjustment may be necessary when you connect your computer for the first time.
Tracking   ................Use this item to adjust the clock phase or to reduce video noise, dot inter ference or cross talk. (This is 
evident when par t of your image appears to be shimmering.)
Use [Tracking] only after the [Clock] is complete.

Adjust  ng Hor  zontal/ Vert  cal Pos  t  on [Hor  zontal pos  t  on/ Vert  cal pos  t  on]
Adjusts the image location horizontally and vertically.
-  An image can be distorted during the adjustment of [Clock] and [Tracking]. This is not malfunction.
-   The adjustments for [Clock], [Tracking], [Horizontal position], and [Vertical position] will be stored in memory 
for the current signal. The next time you project the signal with the same resolution, horizontal and vertical 
frequency, its adjustments will be called up and applied.
 
To delete adjustments stored in memory, from the menu, you select [Reset] 
→ [Current signal] or [All data] 
and reset the adjustments.

Select overscan percentage (0%, 5% and 10%) for signal.

NOTE: 
•  The [0[%]] cannot be selected when VIDEO and S-VIDEO signals are used.
•

Select  ng Aspect Rat  o [Aspect]
The term “aspect ratio” refers to the ratio of width to height of a projected image.
The projector automatically determines the incoming signal and displays it in its appropriate aspect ratio.
• This table shows typical resolutions and aspect ratios that most computers support.

AutoThe projector will automatically determine the incoming signal and display it in its 
aspect ratio. (→ next page)
The projector may erroneously determine the aspect ratio depending on its signal. If 
this occurs, select the appropriate aspect ratio from the following.
4:3The image is displayed in 4:3 aspect ratio.
16:9The image is displayed in 16:9 aspect ratio.
15:9The image is displayed in 15:9 aspect ratio.
16:10The image is displayed in 16:10 aspect ratio.
Wide zoom
(LV-7375/LV-7370/
LV-7275)
The image is stretched left and right. 
Parts of the displayed image are cropped at the left and right edges and therefore not 
visible.
Letterbox
(LV-8300)
The image of a letterbox signal is stretched equally in the horizontal and vertical direc-
tions to fit the screen. Parts of the displayed image are cropped at the top and bottom 
edges and therefore not visible.
True sizeThe projector displays the current image in its true resolution when the incoming com-
puter signal has a lower resolution than the projector’s native resolution.

The term “letterbox” refers to a more landscape-oriented image whe\
n compared to a 4:3 image, which is the standard aspect 
ratio for a vide source.
 
The letterbox signal has aspect ratios with the vista size “1.85:1”\
 or cinema scope size “2.35:1” for movie film.
•
 
The term “squeeze” refers to the compressed image of which aspect \
ratio is converted from 16:9 to 4:3.

When [16:9], [15:9], or [16:10] is selected in [Aspect], the image is displayed with black borders on the top and bot-
tom.
You can adjust the vertical position from the top to the bottom of the black area.

Select one of the three levels for reducing video noise: Off, Less or More.
Off  .........................The low-pass filter is turned off.
Less   .......................The low-pass filter is applied par tially.
More   ......................The low-pass filter is applied fully.
NOTE: Selecting [Off] will give best image quality by way of higher bandwidth. Selecting [Less] will soften the image and select-
ing [More] will soften the image more.

❻ Menu Descriptions & Functions [Setup]
[General]
Enabl  ng Auto Keystone [Auto keystone]
This feature allows the projector to detect its tilt and correct vertical distortion automatically.
To turn off the Auto Keystone feature, select [Off].
NOTE: When [Auto keystone] is set to [On], [Keystone save] is not available. Next time you turn on the power, the Auto keystone 
function will work and the data stored with [Keystone save] will be invalid.
Correct

You can correct vertical distortion manually.

This option enables you to save your current keystone settings.
Off  ..........................Does not save current keystone correction settings

Saving your change once affects all sources. The changes are saved when the projector is off.
Select
 ng Wall Color Correct  on Mode [Screen color]
This function allows for quick adaptive color correction in applications where the screen material is not white.
The  following  nine  options  are  available:  Off,  Whiteboard,  Greenboard,  Greenboard  (Gray),  Light  yellow,  Light 
green, Light blue, Sky blue, Light rose and Pink.
NOTE: When [Whiteboard] is selected, the light output becomes low.

Select  ng Lamp Mode [Lamp mode]
This  feature  enables  you  to  select  two  brightness  modes  of  the  lamp:  Normal  and  Quiet  modes.  The  lamp  life  can 
be extended by using the Quiet mode.

Description
This  is  the  default  set ting  (10 0% 
Brightness).
Select  this  mode  to  increase  the 
lamp life (LV-7375/LV-8300:approx. 
75%  Brightness/LV-7370/LV-7275:

NOTE: 
•
  The lamp life remaining and lamp hours used can be checked in [Usage time]. Select [Information] 
→ [Usage time]. See page 64.
•
 
The projector is always in [Normal] for 3 minutes after the lamp is turned on and while the POWER indicator is blinking green.
 
The lamp condition will not be affected even when [Lamp mode] is changed.
•
 
If there is no signal for about one minute, the projector will display a blue, black or logo background (depending on setting) 
and go into [Quiet].
 
The projector will return to the [Normal] mode once a signal is accepted.
•
 
If  the  projector  is  overheated  in  Normal  mode,  there  may  be  a  case  where  the  Lamp  mode  automatically  changes  to  Quiet 
mode  to  protect  the  projector.  This  is  called  “forced  cooling  operation”.  When  the  projector  is  in  a  forced  cooling  operation, 
the picture brightness decreases. When the projector comes back to normal temperature, the Lamp mode returns to Normal 
mode.
Thermometer  symbol  [   ]  indicates  the  lamp  mode  is  automatically  set  to  a  forced  cooling  operation  because  the  internal temperature  is  too  high.  In  this  condition,  changing  [Lamp  mode]  setting  in  the  menu  will  not  affect  the  actual  lamp  mode 
and the LAMP indicator lights green.

This option sets several closed caption modes that allow text to be superimposed on the projected image of Video 
or S-Video.
Off  .........................This exits the closed caption mode.
Caption 1-4   ...........Tex t is superimposed.
Tex t 1-4  .................Tex t is displayed.
NOTE:
The closed caption is not available under the following conditions:
•   when messages or menus are displayed.
•
  when an image is magnified, frozen, or muted.

[Menu]
Select  ng Menu Color [Color select]
You can choose between two color modes for menu color: Color and Monochrome.
Select

This option allows you to select how long the projector waits after the last touch of a button to turn off the menu.
The preset choices are Manual, 5 sec, 15 sec, and 45 sec.
Select ng a Color for Background [No s  gnal screen]
Use this feature to display a blue, black screen or the Canon logo screen when no signal is available.
Select ng Interval T  me for F  lter Message [F  lter message]
The projector has a feature that informs you of the timing for cleaning the filters.
This  item  allows  you  to  select  the  time  preference  between  displaying  the  message  for  cleaning  the  filters.  Clean 
the filter when you get the message "Please clean filter." See page 67.
Five options are available: Off, 100(H), 200(H), 500(H), 1000(H)
The default setting is 500(H). Change the interval time depending on the degree of dust and dirt on the filters.
 
NOTE:
1)  The message for lamp replacement and filter cleaning will be displayed under the following conditions:
 
- one minute after the projector has been powered on.
 
- when the POWER button on the projector cabinet or on the remote control is pressed.
 
To cancel the message, press any button on the projector cabinet or the remote control.
2)
  Your setting will not be affected even when [Reset] is done from the menu.

[Installation]
Select  ng Projector Or  entat  on [Image fl  p H/ V]
This sets your image for your type of projection application. The options are:
front projection, rear projection, ceiling mounted projection and rear ceiling mounted projection.
D sabl  ng the Cab  net Buttons [Key lock]
This option turns on or off the Key Lock function for cabinet buttons.
NOTE:
•
  The Key lock setting will not affect the remote control or PC control functions.
•
  When the cabinet buttons are disabled, pressing and holding the BACK button on the projector cabinet for about 10 seconds 
will change the setting to enable.
•
 
The Key lock icon (
) will be displayed at the top right of the menu when Key lock is enabled.

This feature turns on or off the Password function.
Unless the correct password is entered, the projector cannot project an image. See page 38.
NOTE: Your setting will not be affected even when [Reset] is done from the menu.

Select  ng Commun  cat  on Speed [Commun  cat  on speed]
This  feature  sets  the  baud  rate  of  the  SERVICE  PORT  (D-Sub  9  Pin).  It  supports  data  rates  from  4800  to  19200 
bps.
The default is 19200 bps.
Select  the  appropriate  baud  rate  for  your  equipment  to  be  connected  (depending  on  the  equipment,  a  lower  baud 
rate may be recommended for long cable runs).
NOTE: Your selected communication speed will not be affected even when [Reset] is done from the menu.

Sett ng Auto Adjust [Auto PC adjustment]
Selecting [Normal] or [Fine] will automatically execute Auto PC adjustment function at the time of signal switching.
This feature sets the Auto PC adjust mode so that the analog RGB image can be automatically or manually adjust-
ed for noise and stability. You can automatically make adjustment in two ways: Normal and Fine
Off  ..........................The RGB image will not be automatically adjusted.
You can manually optimize the RGB image.
Normal   ...................Default setting. The RGB image will be automatically adjusted. Normally \
select this option.
Fine  ........................Select this option if fine adjustment is needed. It takes more time to switch to the source than when [Nor-
mal] is selected.

ng Fan Speed Mode [Fan mode]
This option allows you to select two modes for fan speed: Auto, High, and High altitude.
Auto   ..........................................The built-in fans automatically run at a variable speed according to the\
 internal temperature.
High  ..........................................The built-in fans run at a fixed high speed.
High altitude   .............................The built-in fans run at a high speed. Select this option when using the projector in places at 
5500 ft./1600 m or higher.
When you wish to cool down the temperature inside the projector quickly, select [High].
NOTE: It is recommended that you select High speed mode if you continue to use the projector for consecutive days.
NOTE:
•
  It is recommended that you select High speed mode if you use the projector non-stop for consecutive days.
•
  Be sure to select [High altitude] when using the projector at altitudes approximately 5500 feet/1600 meters or higher. 
•
  Using  the  projector  at  altitudes  approximately  5500  feet/1600  meters  or  higher  without  setting  to  [High  altitude]  can  cause 
the  projector  to  overheat  and  the  protector  could  shut  down.  Furthermore,  the  projector  could  not  turn  on  due  to  the  in-
creased temperature of the lamp after power off. If these happen, wait a couple minutes and turn on the projector.
•
 
Using  the  projector  at  altitudes  less  than  approximately  5500  feet/1600  meters  and  setting  to  [High  altitude]  can  cause  the 
lamp to overcool, causing the image to flicker. 
•
 
Your Fan mode setting will not be affected even when [Reset] is done from the menu.
