No Ink Comes Out Check1 Has ink run out? Open the operation panel and check the ink lamp. Checking Ink Status Check2 Is orange tape or protective film still on ink tank? Make sure all the protective film is peeled off to expose the Y-shaped air hole, as shown below (A). If the orange tape remains on the ink tank (B), peel it off. Check3 Are print head nozzles clogged? Print the nozzle check pattern to determine whether the ink ejects properly from the print head nozzles. Cannot Print on Disc Label Disc Label Printing Does Not Start Disc Tray Does Not Feed Properly Disc Tray Jammed Disc Label Printing Does Not Start Check1 Is disc tray placed properly? Open the disc tray guide, properly place the disc tray again and tap OK on the touch screen. Use the disc tray supplied with this machine ("J" is on the upper side). Check3 If disc label printing stops before it is complete, try operation again. If a certain period of time has elapsed while disc label printing is in progress, the machine stops initializing. Disc Tray Jammed Pull out the disc tray gently. If the disc tray cannot be pulled out, turn the machine off and turn it back on again. The disc tray will automatically be ejected. When the disc tray is pulled out, place the disc tray ("J" is on the upper side) again and retry printing. For more on placing the disc tray, see Placing a Printable Disc . Automatic Duplex Printing Problems Check1 Is automatic duplex printing selected?
Copying/Printing Stops Check1 Is the disc tray guide opened while printing on paper? Close the disc tray guide and tap OK on the touch screen. Check2 Is paper loaded? Make sure paper is loaded. If necessary, load paper. Check3 Do documents to be printed have many photographs or illustrations? It takes time for the machine and the computer to process large data such as photos or other graphics, so it may seem that the machine is not working. Also, if you are printing data that requires a lot of ink on successive sheets of plain paper, the machine may pause temporarily. In either case, wait until the process is complete. Note
Cannot Print Using AirPrint Check1 Make sure machine is turned on. If the machine is turned on, turn it off and back on, and then check whether the issue is resolved. Check2 Make sure machine is connected by LAN to same network subnet as AirPrint compliant device when printing over LAN. Check3 Make sure machine has enough paper and ink. Check4 Make sure no error message is displayed on machine's touch screen. If the problem is not resolved, use the printer driver on your computer to execute printing and check whether the document can be printed normally on the machine. 969
