Cannot Print/Scan from Smartphone/TabletIf you cannot print/scan from your smartphone/tablet, it is possible that your smartphone/tablet cannot communicate with the machine. Check the cause of your problem according to the connection method. Cannot Communicate with Machine over Wireless LAN Cannot Communicate with Machine while It Is in Direct Connection Note
If the network settings of your smartphone/tablet are not identical with those of the wireless router, change thenetwork settings of it to match with those of the wireless router. Check5 Make sure machine is not placed far away from wireless router. The wireless router is located indoors within the effective range for wireless communication. Locate the machine within 164 ft. / 50 m from the wireless router. Check6 Check for obstructions. Wireless communication between different rooms or floors is generally poor. Adjust the location of the devices. Check7 Make sure there is no source of radio wave interference nearby. If a device like a microwave oven that emits radio waves of the same frequency bandwidth as a wireless router is nearby, it may cause interference. Place the wireless router as far away from the interference source as possible. Cannot Communicate with Machine while It Is in Direct Connection If your smartphone/tablet cannot communicate with the machine in the direct connection, check the following. Check1 Make sure machine is turned on. Check2 Is icon displayed on the touch screen? If the icon is not displayed, tap the icon on the upper right, and then select Activate direct connect. on the Change LAN screen. Check3 Check settings of your smartphone/tablet. Make sure your smartphone/tablet can use the wireless LAN. For more on performing setting of the wireless LAN, refer to the instruction manual provided with your smartphone/tablet. Check4 Have you selected machine as destination of your smartphone/tablet? Select the access point name (SSID) of the machine with your smartphone/tablet. Check5 Have you entered proper password specified for direct connection? If the security setting of the direct connection is enabled, you need to enter the password to connect your smartphone/tablet to the machine. Check6 Make sure machine is not too far away. Locate your smartphone/tablet close enough to communicate with the machine. Check7 Check for obstructions. Wireless communication between different rooms or floors is generally poor. Cannot Print/Scan from NFC Compliant Device If you cannot print or scan although Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY is installed in your NFC compliant device,check the following. Check1 Is NFC setting set to Enable ? When you use the NFC function, select Enable for NFC setting . Check2 Are you touching NFC compliant device to machine properly? When you touch a NFC compliant device to the machine, make sure you touch the device to the NFC port on the machine properly. Check3 Is NFC function of NFC compliant device enabled? Confirm the setting of the NFC compliant device and enable the NFC function of the device. 934

Printing Does Not Start Check1 Make sure machine is securely plugged in and touch ON button to turn it on. The POWER lamp flashes while the machine is initializing. Wait until the POWER lamp stops flashing and remains lit. Note
