Before replacing the cartridge, be sure to read the section “When to Replace the Cartridge,” on p. 8-4. Replacing the Cartridge8-15 Maintenance 8 4Rock the cartridge 5 or 6 times to distribute the toner evenly. 5Place the cartridge on a flat and stable surface. Fold the tab (A) on the sealing tape (B) as shown below, and pull it out straight while supporting the cartridge. Make sure that the tab itself is detached from the cartridge. IMPORTANT To avoid breaking the tape, do not pull out the tape at an upward or downward angle. AB
