In shots of evening scenes with subjects illuminated by mercury lamps, the 
subjects or background may appear to have a greenish tinge. This greenish 
tinge can be corrected automatically when shooting, using Multi-area White 
Balance.
Configure the setting.
zPress the n button, choose [Hg Lamp 
Corr.] on the  4 tab, and then choose [On] 
(p. 40).
XOnce the setting is complete,   is 
displayed.
zTo restore the original setting, repeat this 
process but choose [Off]....

Grid lines can be displayed on the screen for vertical and horizontal reference 
while shooting.
Configure the setting.
zPress the n button, choose [Grid Lines] 
on the  4 tab, and then choose [On] (p. 40).

You can check the focus by pressing the shutter button halfway to enlarge the 
image area in the AF frame.
Configure the setting.
zPress the n button, choose [AF-Point 
Zoom] on the  4 tab, and then choose [On] 
(p. 40).

detected as the main subject is now 
magnified.
