x Image Playback
You can rotate the image to the desired orientation.
1Select [Rotate].
 Under the [ 3] tab, select [ Rotate], 
then press < 0>.
2Select the image.
  Turn the < 5> dial to select the 
image to be rotated.
  You can also select an image on the 
index display.
3Rotate the image.
 Each time you press < 0>, the image 
will rotate clockwise as follows: 
90°  → 270°  → 0°
  To rotate other images, repeat steps 2 
and 3.

x Image Playback
By connecting the camera to a TV  set with the video cable (provided), 
you can view the captured images on a TV set. Turn off the camera and 
the television before connecting them.
1Connect the camer a to the TV.
 Open the camera’s terminal cover.
  Use the video cable (provided) to 
connect the camera’s < q> video 
OUT terminal to the TV monitor’s 
VIDEO IN terminal.
  Insert the video cable plugs firmly all 
the way.
2Turn on the TV and switch the 
TV’s line input to VIDEO IN....

Protecting the image prevents it from being erased accidentally.
1Playback the image to be 
protected.
2Protect the image.
 During image playback, press the 
 button.
X When an image is protected, the 
 icon will appear above the 
image.
  To cancel the image protection, press 
the < H > button again. The < K> 
icon will disappear.
  To protect another image, repeat 
steps 1 and 2.
  To exit the image protection, press 
the < M > button. The menu will 
reappear.

J Protecting Images
  Images can also be protected individually when the [ 3 Protect images ] 
menu is set to [ Select images]. Press  to protect or unprotect the 
image.
 
Once an image is protected, it can not be erased by the camera’s erase 
function. To erase a protected image,  you must first cancel the protection.
 If you erase all the images (p.128), only the protected images will remain.  
This is convenient when you want to erase unnecessary images all at once.

The images in a memory card can be copied to the other memory card.
1Select [Image copy].
 Under the [ 3] tab, select [ Image 
copy ], then press < 0>.
2Select [Sel.Image].
  Turn the < 5> dial to select 
[ Sel.Image ], then press < 0>.
3Select the folder.
  Turn the < 5> dial to select the folder 
containing the image to be copied, 
then press < 0>.
  Refer to the images on the right to 
help you select the folder you want.
X The images in the selected folder will 
be displayed.

 4Select the image.
  Turn the < 5> dial to select the 
image to be copied, then press < 0>.

upper left of the screen.
 
Press the  button to display the 
three-image view. To return to the single-
image display, press the <
u> button.
  To select another image to be copied, 
repeat step 4.
5Press the < H> button.
 After selecting all the images to be 
copied, press the < H> button.

X The copying will start and the 
progress will be displayed.
When the copying is completed, the 
result will be displayed. Select [ OK] to 
return to the screen in step 2.
In step 2, select [ Sel.n]. Select the source folder to be copied, then 
the target folder.
In step 2, select [ All image]. All the folders and images in the source 
memory card will be copied to the target card. (The folder numbers and 
file names will remain the same in the target folder.)

You can either select and erase images one by one or erase them in 
one batch. Protected images (p.123) will not be erased.
Once an image is erased, it cannot be recovered. Make sure 
you no longer need the image before erasing it. To prevent 
important images from being erased accidentally, protect 
them.
1Playback the image to be erased.
2Press the < L> button.
  The erase menu will appear at the 
bottom of the screen.
3Erase the image.
XSelect [ Erase], then press < 0>. The

You can adjust the brightness of the LCD monitor to make it easier to 
read.
1Select [LCD brightness].
 Under the [ 6] tab, select [ LCD 
brightness ], then press < 0>.
2Adjust the brightness.
  While referring to the gray chart, turn 
the < 5> dial, then press < 0>.
How long the image is displayed on  the LCD monitor immediately after 
capture can be set. To keep the image displayed, set [ Hold]. To not 
have the image displayed, set [ Off].

Changing Image Playback Settings
Vertical images are rotated automatically 
so they are displayed vertically on the 
camera’s LCD monitor and personal 
computer instead of horizontally. The 
setting of this feature can be changed.
1Select [Auto rotate].
 Under the [ 5] tab, select [ Auto 
rotate ], then press < 0>.
2Set the auto rotate display.
  Turn the < 5> dial to select the 
setting, then press < 0>.
