Live View Shooting
With the camera ready to shoot, 
press .
XThe Live View image will appear on 
the LCD monitor in real-time with 
100% field of view.
 
With the video cable (provided) 
connecting the camera to a TV set, you 
can view images on the TV. (p.122)
In the same way as during shooti ng through the viewfinder, you can set 
the shooting functions (shooting m ode, drive mode, memory card 
selection, image size, ISO speed, Picture Style, white balance, 
exposure compensation, AEB, AE lock,...

Live View Shooting
1Move the focusing frame to the 
position where you want to focus.
 Use  to select the focusing frame in 
full view. If you press <
9> at the center, 
the focusing frame will return to the center.
2Press the < u> button.
X The area within the focusing frame 
will be magnified.
X The shutter speed and aperture 
settings will be displayed in orange.
 
Each time you press the  button, the 
display format will change as follows:

1Check the composition.
 Press the < u> to check the image 
composition in full view.
2Check the display.
3Take the picture.
  Press the shutter button completely.
XThe picture will be taken and the captured 
image is displayed on the LCD monitor.
X After the image review ends, the 
camera will return to Live View 
shooting automatically.
  To terminate shooting, press < 0> 
while Live View image is displayed.

Learn how to view or erase images, and copy images 
between the CF card and SD card.
For images taken with another camera:The camera might not be able to properly display images captured 
with a different camera or edited with a personal computer or whose 
file name was changed.

1Playback the image.
 Press the < x> button.
X The last captured image or last image 
viewed will appear.
2Select the image.
  To playback images  starting with the 
last image, turn the < 5> dial 
counterclockwise. To playback 
images starting with the first captured 
image, turn the dial clockwise.
  Press the < B> button to change 
the display format.

 About the Highlight AlertWhen the [4 Highlight alert] menu is set to [Enable], overexposed 
highlight areas will blink. To obtain more image detail in the overexposed areas, 
set the exposure compensation to a negative amount and shoot again.
  About the AF Point Display
When the [ 4 AF point disp. ] menu is set to [ Enable], the AF point 
which achieved focus will be disp layed in red in the shooting

1Turn on the index display.
 During image playback, press the 
 button.
X The 4-image index display will 
appear. The currently-selected image 
will be highlighted in a blue frame.
  Press the < y> button again to switch 
to the 9-image index display.
2Select an image.
  Turn the < 5> dial to move the blue 
frame.
  To display an image, press the < u> 
button.
With the single image display, index  display, and magnified view, you 
can turn the  dial to jump through the images....

You can magnify the image by 1. 5x to 10x on the LCD monitor.

 During image playback, press the

X The image will be magnified.
  To increase the magnification, hold 
down the < u> button. The image will 
continue to be magnified until it
