42 . Using the Digital Zoom When using the digital zoom, images can be zoomed to approximately 1.3x, 1.6x, 2.0x, 2.5x, 3.1x, 4.1x, 5.1x or 6.5x. Shoot while the magnification factor display is blue for prints up to the postcard print size. This will allow you to obtain optimal print quality. Images become coarser the more they are digitally zoomed. However, the actual recorded image is not as coarse as it appears in the LCD monitor. 43 Basic Functions Pressing the Shutter Button The shutter button features a two-stage action. You can also shoot images with a single press of the shutter button without pressing it halfway first (Quick Shot). 1. Pressing Halfway Pressing halfway automatically sets the exposure, focus and white balance. 2.
