40 Using the Zoom The zoom can be adjusted from 36 mm to 108 mm in 35 mm film equivalent terms. Telephoto/Wide Angle Digital Zoom When the LCD monitor is on, you can shoot with a combined optical and digital zoom up to approximately 12x with the DIGITAL IXUS 500 and 11x with the DIGITAL IXUS 430 (p. 62).
