Using a Printed Cover Page
If you prefer using a printed cover page that you can write on, you can print the 
sample page and attach it to your fax. 
1Press Menu/Set, 2, 2, 8.
2Press  to select PRINT SAMPLE?, and then press Menu/Set.
3Press Fax Start. Your FAX/MFC prints a copy of your cover page.
4Press Stop/Exit.

You can set up the time of day that delayed faxes will be sent. This time will be 
displayed for acceptance or you can override it in Delayed Fax.

Delayed Batch Transmission 
Before sending the delayed faxes, your FAX/MFC will economize by sorting all 
the documents in memory by destination and scheduled time. All delayed faxes 
scheduled at the same time to the same fax number will be sent as one 
transmission.

Storing Numbers for Easy Dialing
You can set up your FAX/MFC for easy dialing: One Touch (FAX models 
only), Speed Dial and Groups for Broadcasting faxes.
Storing One Touch Dial Numbers (For FAX Models Only)
You can store 8 fax/phone numbers that you can dial by pressing one key (and 
Fax Start). You also can store names with these numbers. When you press a

Storing Speed Dial Numbers
For FAX-2800 and MFC-4800, you can store Speed Dial numbers, so when you 
dial you will have to press only five keys. (Search/Speed Dial, #, the two-
digit location, and Fax Start). For FAX-2900 and FAX-3800, you have to press 
six keys. (Search/Speed Dial, #, the three-digit location, and Fax Start).
The FAX-2800 and MFC-4800 have 100 Speed Dial locations. The FAX-2900 
and FAX-3800 have 120 Speed Dial locations.

Setting Up Groups for Broadcasting
Groups allow you to send the same fax message to many fax numbers. You can 
store the Groups on your One Touch keys (FAX models only) or Speed dial 
locations, and then broadcast by pressing only the One Touch key (FAX models 
only) or Search/Speed Dial, #, the two-digit location, (FAX-2800, MFC-4800) 
or three-digit location (FAX-2900, FAX-3800) and Fax Start. First, you’ll need

Dialing Options
You can use your FAX/MFC to make telephone calls by dialing manually or by 
using Search, One Touch (FAX models only) or Speed Dial memory. When you 
dial an auto dial number, the LCD shows the name you’ve stored, or, if you 
haven’t  stored a name, the fax number you’ve stored.

when you make a call.  Rates may vary depending upon the time and destination.  
To take advantage of low rates, you can store the access codes or long-distance

numbers. Using the Menu/Set key, you can include Groups, One Touch
