Routine maintenance33 A IMPORTANT • DO NOT take out ink cartridges if you do not need to replace them. If you do so, it may reduce the ink quantity and the machine will not know the quantity of ink left in the cartridge. • DO NOT touch the cartridge insertion slots. 38 Cannot DetectYou installed a new ink cartridge too quickly and the machine did not detect it. Take out the new ink cartridge and re-install it slowly. If you are using non Brother Original ink the machine may not detect the ink cartridge. Replace the cartridge with a Brother Original ink cartridge.
