English - 11 Setting up the System Connecting the speakers to the amplifier After you place your speakers, connect the speaker wires to the amplifier. See “Installation guidelines” on page 10. Speaker wires consist of two insulated wires: • The marked wire (stripes, ribbing or color) connects to the positive (+) terminal.\ • The plain wire connects to the negative (–) terminal. Follow the operating instructions for your unpowered speakers to connect the other end of the speaker wires to the speakers. Note: Make sure to connect the marked wires to the positive terminals. Tip: Use a silicone caulking material such as R TV adhesive (available at hard- ware stores) to protect the wiring at the outdoor speaker connections.

Each pair of speakers requires a minimum 8 ohms nominal impedance.
