Clear countertop under installation area to avoid getting dust or debris on other appliances or items. Open cabinets and remove contents to make mounting easier. 2. With cabinet doors open, place mounting template flush against the surface of the underside of your cabinet, making sure to align thick line on template with bottom front edge of your cabinet (D). Important: Do not align screw holes on template with the partition between cabinets, as this will prevent you from installing the appliance properly. Pay close attention to where the drill holes will be set so as not to damage your cabinets during mounting. Drilling through your cabinet’s partition may cause damage to cabinets and prevent proper installation. 3. Once thick line is straight with bottom front edge, pull template tight and tape down on all 4 corners to hold in place. 4. Drilling from under the cabinet up, drill holes through the 4 places marked on the template, using a ¼-inch drill bit (E). Important: Always ensure you are drilling straight up through the marked mounting hole on the template. Drilling at an angle may prevent proper installation and may damage cabinets if the drill bit pierces the partition. 5. Once holes are drilled, remove tape and mounting template and save template with your instructions in case you move or wish to remount at a later time. 6. Wipe dust and debris off inside cabinet surface. Also, make sure under-side of cabinet is clean. 7. Place a washer inside the cabinet over each of the 4 holes you drilled. D E
109 Important: Do not align screw holes on template with the partition between cabinets, as this will prevent you from installing the appliance properly. Pay close attention to where the drill holes will be set so as not to damage your cabinets during mounting. Drilling through your cabinet’s partition may cause damage to cabinets and prevent proper installation. 6. Drilling from under the cabinet up, drill holes through the 4 places marked on the template using a ¼-inch drill bit (see illustration E). Important: Always ensure you are drilling straight up through the marked mounting hole on the template. Drilling at an angle may prevent proper installation and may damage cabinets if the drill bit pierces the partition. 7. Once holes are drilled, remove tape and mounting template and save template with your instructions in case you move or wish to remount at a later time. 8. Wipe dust and debris off inside cabinet surface. Also, make sure under side of cabinet is clean. 9. Place a washer inside the cabinet over each of the 4 holes you drilled. 10. Now, use your ruler or the paper ruler provided to measure the overhang height, placing your ruler vertically against the underside of the cabinet behind the overhang. This number determines the number of spacers you need, using a number of spacers equal to the overhang height. For example, a 1” overhang would use 2, ½” spacers on each of the rear holes (L). 11. Place a washer inside the cabinet over each of the 4 holes you drilled. 12. Drop one of your screws through each of the washers covering the holes in the cabinet, from inside the cabinet down. 13. Place the appropriate number of spacers determined in step 9 on each screw to the appliance will be even (M). K L SPACER MOUNTING INSTALLATION (OVERHANG LIP CABINETS) Important: Always wear protective glasses or goggles to prevent injury when drilling. Note: Spacers are provided in case your cabinet has an overhang lip at the front edge. The spacers are used on the rear screw holes of the appliance to ensure it is level with the front. Only use spacers if your cabinet has an overhang. 1. Clear countertop under installation area to avoid getting on other appliances or items. Open cabinets and remove contents to make mounting easier 2. Using a ruler, measure the thickness of the overhang lip from the front to back of the overhang, accurately noting the number for use in the following step (H). Note: If you do not have a ruler, you may cut out and use the paper ruler provided on the edge of your mounting template. 3. Once you have the overhang thickness, look at the dashed lines on the mounting template; each line has a measurement next to it that indicates the height of the lip used with that line. For example, if your cabinet has an overhang thickness of ½”, you will use the ½” dashed line on the template. 4. With cabinet doors open, place line selected on mounting template even with the bottom front edge of your cabinet, and tape in place against the lip (J). 5. With the paper securely taped in place against the lip, fold the rest of the mounting template back against the underside of cabinet surface, bending it to remain flush against both the back of the lip and the underside of the cabinet (K). 1718 TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION Oven is not heating or stops heating. Second toasting is too dark. Moisture forms on the inside of the door during toasting. Food is overcooked or undercooked. There is a burnt food odor or smoking when oven is in use. Heating elements do not seem to be on. Dials are not set for cooking modes. Oven is not plugged in or outlet is not working. Toast setting selected is too dark. The amount of moisture in the product being toasted will vary from one manufacturer to another. Temperature and/or cook time may need to be adjusted. There are remnants of food on the walls of the oven or in the crumb tray. The heating elements in the toaster oven will cycle on and off during baking. Check that all three dials are set to the appropriate setting and the green light is on. Check that outlet is working. Make sure oven is plugged in. When doing repeated toast cycles remember to select a slightly lighter setting for the 2nd and 3rd toasting. The moisture that forms on the door is common and usually disappears before the end of the toasting cycle. Because the oven is a closed appliance the moisture cannot evaporate as quickly as it would in a toaster. Since the toaster oven is much smaller than a conventional oven it may cook slower or faster. Try lowering or raising the temperature setting 25 degrees from the suggested setting in a recipe or label directions. Refer to the directions in Care & Cleaning in this booklet. Make sure all parts of the oven are clean and free of debris. Check toaster oven to make sure proper function is selected.
