    TA\fPER-RES\bSTANT SCREW
    Warning:  This applia\bce is equipped with a tamper-resista\bt screw to preve\bt

    GETTING STARTED 
    This applia\bce is i\bte\bded for household use o\bl\d\f. 
    • Remove all packi\bg material, a\b\f stickers, a\bd the plastic ba\bd arou\bd the 
    power plug.
    • Go to www.prodprotect.com/applica to register \four product.
    • Wash all removable parts as i\bstructed i\b CARE AND CLEANING.   Place the clea\b, dr\f cooki\bg pot i\b the cooki\bg base. 
    •  Select a locatio\b where the Multicooker is to be used. Place the u\bit o\b a 
    stable, heat resista\bt surface, free from cloth, liquids a\bd a\b\f other flammable 
    materials. E\bsure that the u\bit has e\bough space all the wa\f arou\bd a\bd above 
    it to allow heat to flow without damage to cabi\bets or walls. 
    IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR   
    MULTICOOKER
    • The cooki\bg pot gets hot. Whe\b i\b use, alwa\fs use ove\b mitts or 
    potholders whe\b touchi\bg a\b\f outer or i\b\ber surface of the applia\bce.
    • If there is a power outage, the Multicooker will tur\b off. If this is  discovered quickl\f, co\bti\bue cooki\bg whe\b the power is restored. If \fou 
    are \bot sure how lo\bg the Multicooker has bee\b off, discard the food. 
    • Duri\bg first few mi\butes of use \fou ma\f \botice smoke a\bd a slight odor.  This is caused b\f oil that ma\f have bee\b used duri\bg ma\bufacturi\bg of 
    the u\bit a\bd will \bot impact the performa\bce.
    • Do \bot cut foods directl\f i\b the cooki\bg pot a\bd do \bot use metal ute\bsils  i\b this applia\bce; both actio\bs could scratch the ceramic coati\bg. 
    OPERATING YOUR MULTICOOKER  
    PREHEAT
    Alwa\fs preheat the cooki\bg pot before addi\bg i\bgredie\bts, as \fou would 
    before sautéi\bg/seari\bg o\b the stove top or roasti\bg/baki\bg i\b the o\dve\b. 
    Approximatel\f 5 to 10 mi\butes (with or without\d lid) is \beeded for seari\bg a\bd 
    sautéi\bg a\bd 15 to 20 mi\butes (with the lid o\b)\d is \beeded for roasti\bg a\bd 
    baki\bg. Slow cooki\bg is the o\bl\f f\du\bctio\b that requires \bo preheati\bg. 
    SEAR/SAUTÉ
    This fu\bctio\b tur\bs o\d\b o\bl\f the bottom heati\bg eleme\bts a\bd heats up to 
    450°F, e\babli\bg \fou to both sear a\bd saut\dé foods like o\b the stovetop. O\b this 
    setti\bg, \fou will o\bl\f use the\d co\btrol k\bob. 
    1.   Plug i\b the applia\bce a\bd press power switch to On . The power light 
    will illumi\bate a\bd sta\f o\b u\btil the applia\bce is switched to Off . 
    2.  Tur\b the co\btrol k\bob to Sear /Sauté .

    3.   Allow Multicooker to preheat 5 to 10 mi\butes. 
    4.    Add i\bgredie\bts to the cooki\bg pot. Cover with glass lid or leave lid off 
    to stir. 
    5.    Whe\b cooki\bg time is do\be, either tur\b the co\btrol k\bob to the \bext 
    desired fu\bctio\b (if switchi\bg fu\bctio\bs, please see fu\bctio\b directio\bs), 
    or switch the applia\bce off.
    6.  U\bplug the applia\bce whe\b \bot i\b use. 
    ROAST/BAKE
    This fu\bctio\b tur\bs o\d\b the bottom a\bd side heati\bg eleme\bts, e\babli\b\dg \fou to 
    both bake a\bd roast foods like i\b a co\bve\btio\bal ove\b. O\b this setti\bg, \d\fou will 
    use both the co\btrol a\bd temperature k\bobs. The roasti\bg rack ca\b be used to 
    raise food above the pa\b bottom for more eve\b roasti\bg or baki\bg. 
    1.    Plug i\b the applia\bce a\bd press power switch to On . The power light 
    will illumi\bate a\bd sta\f o\b u\btil the applia\bce is switched to Off . 
    2.    Tur\b the co\btrol k\bob to Roast /Bake , a\bd the\b tur\b the temperature 
    k\bob to the desired temperature.
    3.    Allow the Multicooker to preheat a\bd come to desired temperature. 
    This will take approximatel\f 15 to 20 mi\butes. 
    4.    Add i\bgredie\bts to the cooki\bg pot. Cover with glass lid. For best 
    results, avoid ope\bi\bg the lid duri\bg the cooki\bg process. If baki\bg with 
    a\b ove\b safe baki\bg pa\b, place the pa\b directl\f o\b top of the roasti\bg 
    rack for more eve\b results. 
    5.    Whe\b cooki\bg time is do\be, either tur\b the co\btrol k\bob to the \bext 
    desired fu\bctio\b (if switchi\bg fu\bctio\bs, please see fu\bctio\b directio\bs), 
    or remove food a\bd switch the applia\bce Off .
    6.  U\bplug the applia\bce whe\b \bot i\b use.

    SLOW COOK
    This fu\bctio\b tur\bs o\d\b o\bl\f the side heati\bg eleme\bts, e\babli\b\dg \fou to trul\f 
    slow cook foods like a traditio\bal slow cooker. O\b this setti\bg, \f\dou will o\bl\f 
    use the co\btrol k\bob. 
    1.   Add i\bgredie\bts to the cooki\bg pot a\bd cover with glass lid.
    2.    Plug i\b the applia\bce a\bd press power switch to On . The power light 
    will illumi\bate a\bd sta\f o\b u\btil the applia\bce is switched Off . 
    3.    Tur\b the co\btrol k\bob to the desired heat setti\bg u\bder Slow Cook 
    Controls  to begi\b cooki\bg.
    NOTE: Do not use the \farm function to cook.
    4.  Set a kitche\b timer for cook time if desired.
    5.    Whe\b cooki\bg time is do\be, either tur\b the co\btrol k\bob to \farm , 
    switch the applia\bce Off , or tur\b the co\btrol k\bob to the \bext desired 
    fu\bctio\b (if switchi\bg fu\bctio\bs, please see fu\bctio\b directio\bs).
    NOTE: Do not hold foods on \farm for more than \f hours.
    6.    Whe\b read\f to serve, press the power switch to Off . The power light 
    will tur\b off. 
    7.   U\bplug the applia\bce whe\b \bot i\b use. 
    WAR\f
    This fu\bctio\b tur\bs o\d\b o\bl\f the side heati\bg eleme\bts, e\babli\b\dg \fou to use 
    the applia\bce like a traditio\bal slow cooker. Please refere\bce the Slow Cook 
    sectio\b for additio\bal i\bstructio\bs. O\b this \dsetti\bg, \fou will o\bl\f \beed the 
    co\btrol k\bob. 
    NOTE: Do not hold foods on \farm for more than \f hours.
    CARE AND CLEANING  
    This product co\btai\bs \bo user servi\dceable parts. Refer service to qualified 
    service perso\b\bel.
    CLEAN\bNG
    \b\fPORTANT: Never immerse cooking \base in water or other liquids. 
    1. Alwa\fs u\bplug a\bd allow to cool completel\f before clea\bi\bg. 
    2.    Wash cooki\bg pot a\bd glass lid i\b warm, soap\f water. If food has stuck 
    to the cooki\bg pot, fill pot with warm, soap\f water a\bd allow to soak 
    before clea\bi\bg with \bo\babrasive scouri\bg pad. 
    NOTE: Both the cooking pot and glass lid are dishwasher safe.

    3. Ri\bse a\bd dr\f thoroughl\f.
    4.    Wipe i\bterior a\bd exterior of the cooki\bg base with a soft, slightl\f 
    damp cloth or spo\bge. 
    \b\fPORTANT: Never use a\brasive cleansers or scouring pads to clean the 
    cooking \base, as they may damage the surfaces.
    STOR\bNG
    Make sure that the applia\bce is thoroughl\f cool a\bd dr\f. Never wrap the cord 
    tightl\f arou\bd the applia\bce; keep it loosel\f coiled. Placi\bg the l\did o\b upside-
    dow\b for storage ca\b help save space.
    HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS
    ROAST
    • The approximate maximum capacit\f for roasti\bg is a 4–5 lb. chicke\b or a  3–4 lb. roast.
    • If \fou desire the deeper flavor of brow\bed meat use the Sear /Sauté  
    fu\bctio\b before roasti\bg.
    • Tougher cuts of meat ca\b be te\bderized b\f simmeri\bg them. Addi\bg  sauce or grav\f ca\b also add a bolder flavor. 
    • Alwa\fs roast with lid o\b. Ope\b the lid as little as possible to e\bsure eve\b  cooki\bg a\bd to keep heat from escapi\bg. 
    • Foil roasti\bg bags ca\b be used, but plastic roasti\bg bags are \bot  recomme\bded.
    • Usi\bg a meat thermometer ca\b help sig\bifica\btl\f improve results; \fou will  wa\bt to remove the meat or poultr\f from the roaster whe\b the readi\bg is 
    5 to 10 degrees (Fahre\bheit) below the desired temperature. The i\bter\bal 
    temperature will co\bti\bue to rise as the meat is resti\bg after it has bee\b 
    removed. 
    • Multicookers ofte\b cook turke\fs a\bd chicke\bs i\b less time tha\b a  co\bve\btio\bal ove\b. Whe\b first co\bverti\bg recipes from a co\bve\btio\bal 
    ove\b, closel\f mo\bitor the i\bter\bal temperature.
    BAKE
    •  For ma\b\f baked goods, this applia\bce ca\b be used i\b place of a \bormal ove\b. 
    • Use the roasti\bg rack i\b the base of the applia\bce whe\b baki\bg to e\bsure  more eve\b cooki\bg. Place baki\bg dishes directl\f o\b the rack.
