5 GETTING STARTED • Remove all packing material, any \bticker\b, and the pla\btic band around the power plug. • Remove and \bave literature. • Plea\be vi\bit www.prodprotect.com/applica to regi\bter your warranty. • Wa\bh all removable part\b a\b in\btructed in CARE AND CLE\UANING \bection of thi\b man\Uual. HOW TO USE Thi\b product i\b for hou\behold u\be only. USING YOUR BLENDER 1. Make \bure appliance i\b off and the ja\Ur i\b \becurely \bituated on the ba\be. 2. Place food\b to be blended into jar. Do not fill pa\bt the 64 oz. marking. NOTE: When blending hot \Uingredient\b, only fill blen\Uder jar 2/3 full. (A) NOTE: For be\bt re\bult\b, add ingredient\b in the following order: a. Liquid\b b. Powder\b c. Soft food\b d. Hard food\b e. Ice 3. Place lid \becurely on jar. Make \bure lid cap i\b in place. NOTE: Before blending hot liqui\Ud\b, remove lid cap and cover with a towel to prevent hot liquid\b from \bpattering. 4. Plug power cord into outlet. 5. U\be the dial to \belect a \bpeed. (B\U) Turn the dial clockwi\be for fa\bter \bpeed\b and counterclockwi\be for \blower \bpeed\b (See SPEED CHART). 6. Pre\b\b the toggle upward\b to START|OFF to turn on the motor. (C) LED will illuminate. 7. When food reache\b de\bired con\bi\btency, pre\b\b toggle upward\b to START|OFF to \btop the motor. 6 9. When u\bing the PULSE\U function, pre\b\b and hold the toggle downward toward\b PULSE for a few \becond\b, then relea\be. (E) Repeat until food reache\b de\bired con\bi\btency. Relea\bing pul\be \btop\b the blending. LE\UD will illuminate when motor i\b operating. \b\fPORTANT: Do not hold toggle down for more than a few \becond\b at a time when pul\bin\Ug. \b\fPORTANT: Do not remove the lid while the \Ublender i\b running. 10. Make \bure blade\b have completely \btopped before attempting to remove the blending jar fr\Uom the ba\be. (Refer to trouble\bhooting for any i\b\bue\b) 11. To remove the jar, gra\bp the handle and l\Uift up. 12. Remove lid to pour. 13. Alway\b unplug the applianc\Ue when not in u\be. USING THE \fERSONAL \CBLENDER JAR (NOT \bNCLUDED W\bTH ALL \fODELS)\m Per\bonal blender jar\b \Umay be purcha\bed \beparately. NOTE: Do not blend hot li\Uquid\b in the per\bona\Ul jar. 1. Place the per\bonal blend\Uer jar on a flat \burface with the open en\Ud facing up. Fill the jar with \Uingredient\b, keeping the amount b\Uelow the top marking. NOTE: For be\bt re\bult\b, add ingredient\b in the following order: a. Liquid\b b. Ice c. Hard Food\b d. Soft Food\b e. Powder\b 2. Tighten the per\bonal jar blade a\b\bembly on the open end of the per\bonal jar with the blade \Ufacing down toward\b the ingredient\b. It i\b impo\Urtant to tighten to prevent leaking during b\Ulending. 3. Turn per\bonal jar up\bi\Ude down and place on the blender ba\U\be, turning clockwi\be to lock into place. 4. Select Low \bpeed. \b\fPORTANT: It i\b recommended to only u\be Low \bpeed when u\bing t\Uhe per\bonal jar. Do NOT u\be PULSE when u\bin\Ug the per\bonal jar. 5. Pre\b\b the toggle upward\b toward\b START|OFF to turn on the motor. The LED will illuminate. Blend to de\bired con\bi\btency. 6. Pre\b\b the toggle upward\b toward\b START|OFF to \btop the motor. The LED light will turn off. 7. Once blending ha\b fini\bh\Ued, remove the per\bonal jar b\Uy turning counterclockwi\be and lifting off\U the ba\be. Turn the jar over and place it on a flat \burface. 7 \b\fPORTANT: If the jar get\b \btuck on the blending\U ba\be or begin\b to loo\ben from the blade a\b\bembly, follow the\be \btep\b:a. Unplug the unit b. Turn the jar clockwi\be to tighten jar onto the blade a\b\bembly c. Turn jar and blade a\b\U\bembly counterclockwi\be to unlock from blending ba\be and\U lift up. 8. Remove the blade a\b\bembly from the per\bonal jar \Uby turning counterclockwi\be. Place the per\bonal jar d\Urinking lid on the \Uper\bonal jar and enjoy your deliciou\b drink\b \Uon the go. S\fEED CHART Thi\b blender u\be\b a variable \bpeed dial t\Uo control the \bpeed of u\be. The lowe\bt \bpeed i\b when the\U dial i\b turned all th\Ue way to the left. The highe\bt \bpeed i\b when the d\Uial i\b turned all the \Uway to the right. The variable \bpeed dial allow\b you full control of your blend. The following \bpeed chart contain\b recommendation\b for \bpeed\b and functi\Uon\b. 8 HEL\fFUL HINTS AND TI\fS • When u\bing hard food\b, \buch a\b ice or chee\be, keep one hand on th\Ue lid to keep blender jar and\U ba\be in place. • Cut food into piece\b no larger than 3/4” before blending. • When ingredient\b \bplatter onto the \bide\b of the \Ujar or the mixture i\b very thick, turn the app\Uliance off. Remove the lid and u\be a \Urubber \bpatula to \bcrape down the \bide\b of the\U jar and to redi\btribute the food, pu\bhing food toward the blade\b. Replace the lid and continue blending. • The lid cap hold\b up t\Uo 2 oz. of liquid and can\U be u\bed a\b a mea\bure when adding ingredient\b \buch a\b oil, \Umilk, cream or liquor. • When making bread, cookie, cereal, or cracker crumb\b, make \bure blending jar i\b completely dry. • When u\bing the PULSE\U function, u\be \bhort\U bur\bt\b. Allow the blade\b to \btop rotating between pul\be\b. Do not u\be\U PULSE for more than 30 \becond\b continuou\bly. • It i\b helpful to begin the blendin\Ug proce\b\b on the lowe\bt \bpeed and then increa\be to a higher \bpeed, i\Uf nece\b\bary. • Never operate the blender witho\Uut the lid. • To \btop blending at any time, pre\b\b the toggle upward\b toward\b START|OFF. • When blending hot i\Ungredient\b, alway\b let them cool at lea\bt 5 minute\b before blending. Begin \Ublending on the lowe\bt \bpeed with the lid\U cap off to allow \bteam to e\bcape. Cover lid cap hole with\U towel or hot pad. • When cru\bhing ice with no other in\Ugredient\b, u\be 2 cup\b i\Uce max (about 15 cube\b). Make \bure blender jar i\b completely dry before ice cru\bhing. CARE AND CLEANING Thi\b product contain\b no u\ber \berv\Uiceable part\b. Refer \bervice to qualified \bervice per\bonnel. • Unplug the blender ba\U\be before cleaning. Wipe the blender ba\be\U u\bing a damp cloth. Do n\Uot immer\be the blend\Uer ba\be in water. • Lift the blending j\Uar, by the handle, off the ba\be. • Remove lid and lid cap. • Wa\bh removable part\b by hand or in the d\Ui\bhwa\bher. Place the jar on the bottom rack and the re\bt of the part\b on t\Uhe top rack only. CAUT\bON: Blade\b are \bharp. Handle with care when hand wa\bhing. CLEANING TI\fS • For quick cleanup, combine 1 cup hot water and a drop of liquid di\bh \boap in the blending\U jar. • Cover and blend on med\Uium for about 30 \becond\b. • Di\bcard liquid and rin\be t\Uhoroughly. \b\fPORTANT: • Do not place the jar part\b in \Uboiling liquid\b. • Do not immer\be the \Uba\be in liquid. Wipe the ba\be with a\U damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
9 • Remove \btubborn \bpot\b by rubbing with a da\Ump cloth and nonabr\Ua\bive cleaner. Note: If liquid\b \bpill onto the ba\be, wipe with a damp\U cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not u\be rough \bcouring pad\b or clean\ber\b on part\b or fini\bh. TROUBLESHOOTING \fr\bblem \f\bssible Cause S\bluti\bn Blender i\b having difficulty blending Mixture i\b too thick or air bubble ha\b formed between mixture and blade. Turn blender off. U\be rubber \bpatula to \bcrape down \bide\b of jar and redi\btribute, pu\bhing food toward\b blade\b. Add more liquid if needed. LED i\b blinking rapidly Blender overheated. Motor protection cau\bed blender to \btop working. Unit mu\bt be re\bet. Unplug unit and let cool for at lea\bt 20 minute\b. RECI\fES PEANUT BUTTER 3 cup\b peanut\b 1⁄3 cup peanut oil Place all ingredient\b into the blender. Pre\b\b toggle upward\b to START|OFF and u\be the dial to adju\bt your \bpeed and blend.\U Pre\b\b the toggle upward\b to START|OFF when peanut b\Uutter ha\b reached your de\bired con\bi\btency. R\bCE FLOUR ½ cup white rice Freeze rice for 15 minute\b prior to blending. Place in the blender an\Ud u\be the dial to adju\bt your \bpeed. P\bNEAPPLE STRAWBERRY S\fOOTH\bE 1 cup pineapple juic\Ue 2 cup\b vanilla flavored yogurt 1 cup fre\bh \btrawberrie\b 8-10 ice cube\b Place all ingredient\b, in the order li\bted, into your blender and blen\Ud on High.
10 PERSONAL JAR ORANGE \fANGO S\fOO\mTH\bE½ cup orange juice 4-5 ice cube\b ½ cup fre\bh mango 1 cup plain or vanilla flavored yogurt Place all ingredient\b in your per\bonal jar in \Uthe order li\bted. Place blade ba\be on top of jar and \bcrew tightly in place. Flip the jar onto the blender ba\be and blend, on lowe\bt \bpeed. CREA\fY BUTTERNUT SQU\mASH SOUP 2 Tb\bp. butter 1 \bmall onion, chopp\Ued 2 lb\b. butternut \bqua\bh, peeled,\U \beeded and cut int\Uo 1-inch cube\b 2 cup\b chicken or vegetable broth 1/8 t\bp. \balt 1/8 t\bp. black pepper ½ cup heavy cream Melt butter in large \bauce pan on medium hea\Ut. Add onion; cook and \btir 3 minute\b or until tender cri\bp. Add \bqua\bh, chicken broth, \balt and pepper\U. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium low, cover and \bimmer 20 mi\Unute\b or until \bqua\bh i\b \Utender. Puree \bqua\bh mixture in blender in two batche\b on low \bpeed, 15 \becond\b or until \bmooth. Return pureed \boup to \bauce pan. Stir in cream and heat through. Do not boil.
