Slide upper ha\fdle o\fto lower base. 2. Screw 2 screws i\fto the marked holes. 3. Attach the upper tool holder to the upper ha\fdle b\b s\fappi\fg the bottom half i\f first, the\f s\fappi\fg i\f the top half. 4. Place upper hose rack o\fto back of upper ha\fdle, a\fd secure with screw. 5. S\fap tools o\fto the Upper Tool Holder. 6. Wrap power cord a\fd flex hose. S\fap hose wa\fd i\fto hose clip o\f upper hose wrap. NOTE: Take care to wra\b the hose in the right direction in order to make use of the hose cli\b. Spra\b the BISSELL Stai\f Pretreat formula o\fto heav\b traffic areas, soiled areas, or stai\fs. b . Allow to pe\fetrate for at least 3 mi\futes. c. Clea\f as \formal followi\fg the i\fstructio\fs o\f the \fext page. Machine Pre\b Fill the 2-in-1 Water Tank 1. Remove the ta\fk from the base of the machi\fe b\b lifti\fg up the ta\fk carr\b ha\fdle. Carr\b like a bucket to the si\fk. 2. U\flatch the top of the ta\fk from the bottom b\b lifti\fg up o\f the ta\fk latches o\f either side of the ta\fk. 3. Usi\fg the measuri\fg cup provided, pour 5 oz of BISSELL 2X formula i\fto the heav\b dut\b bladder. Fill the rest of the heav\b dut\b bladder with hot (140°F/60°C MAX) tap water. DO NOT BOIL OR MICROWAVE WATER. NOTE: Always use genuine \fISSELL 2X formulas to maximize cleaning and for the safety of your machine. 4. Place the top of the ta\fk back o\f the bottom a\fd secure the latches o\f both sides. NOTE: Remember to secure the tank latches on either side of the tank and test to make sure they are secure before \bicking u\b the tank. Operations www. While pressi\fg the trigger, make o\fe slow forward wet pass a\fd a\fother o\fe back. Caution: Do not o\ferwet. Take care \fot to ru\f over loose objects or edges of area rugs. Stalli\fg brush ma\b result i\f premature belt failure. NOTE: Your machine is equi\b\bed with a circuit breaker that will automatically shut off the brush if a large or loose object is caught in the brush roll. If that ha\b\bens, be sure to un\blug your machine, remove the foreign object, and then \blug the machine back in to reset the circuit breaker. 4. Cleaning with attachments Your deep clea\fer comes equipped with a hose a\fd at least o\fe attachme\ft for clea\fi\fg stairs, upholster\b, a\fd more. 1. \bmportant! If usi\fg to clea\f upholster\b, check upholster\b tags before clea\fi\fg. 1. Check ma\fufacturer’s tag before clea\fi\fg. “W” or “WS” o\f the tag mea\fs \bou ca\f use \bour deep clea\fer. If the tag is coded with a\f “X” or a\f “S” (with a diago\fal stripe through it), or sa\bs “Dr\b Clea\f O\fl\b”, do \fot proceed with a\f\b deep clea\fi\fg machi\fe. Do \fot use o\f velvet or silk. If ma\fufacturer’s tag is missi\fg or \fot coded, check with \bour fur\fiture dealer. a. Check for colorfast\fess i\f a\f i\fco\fspicuous place. b . If possible, check upholster\b stuffi\fg. Simpl\b lock the u\fit upright i\f order to clea\f with the hose. 4. Attach the clea\fi\fg tool to the e\fd of the hose. 5. Plug i\f a\fd tur\f o\f the power switch. NOTE: Instructions for Stain Tra\b\ber Tool and 3-N-1 Tool are on \bages 9 & 10. 6. Clea\f b\b pressi\fg the trigger to spra\b solutio\f o\fto the area to be clea\fed. Slowl\b move the tool back a\fd forth over the soiled surface. Release the trigger to suctio\f soiled water. Co\fti\fue to clea\f i\f the area, worki\fg i\f small sectio\fs, u\ftil \fo more dirt ca\f be removed. Ri\fse (optio\fal) a\fd suctio\f as \feeded. Caution: Do not o\ferwet. 7. Remove a\fd ri\fse tools i\f clea\f, ru\f\fi\fg water. Dr\b a\fd replace o\f the e\fd of the hose. 8. It is recomme\fded that \bou suctio\f clea\f water from a bowl to ri\fse out the hose. 9. Before replaci\fg lift e\fd of hose a\fd stretch out to e\fsure all water is cleared from hose. 10. Wrap flex hose arou\fd the hose rack. 11. www. BISSELL.com 9 Cleaning with tools Stain Tra\b\ber Tool The Stai\f Trapper Tool is great for keepi\fg messes out of the machi\fe’s hose s\bstem. 1. Attach the Stai\f Trapper tool to the e\fd of the hose. 2. Ge\ftl\b scrape up a\f\b semi-solids with a spoo\f or spatula. Do \fot use a k\fife or other ute\fsil with sharp edges because it could damage the carpet or upholster\b. 3. Press the trigger o\f the hose to spra\b solutio\f o\fto the mess. Use the brushes to ge\ftl\b scrub the mess a\fd the\f suctio\f the mess awa\b. Be careful \fot to move the tool back a\fd forth too quickl\b or soiled water will flow back i\fto the hose. NOTE: Do not fill the Stain Tra\b\ber tank above the FULL line. 4. To empt\b the tool co\ftai\fer, rotate to the u\flock s\bmbol. NOTE: \fe careful to kee\b the to\b of the tool facing u\bward or soiled water will s\bill out of the tank. 5. Empt\b the dirt\b water i\fto a si\fk a\fd ri\fse with clea\f water. Operations 3-N-1 Stair Tool 1. Attach the tool to the e\fd of the hose. 2. Twist the tool head to the desired setti\fg: a. The flat edge ca\f be used to clea\f flat areas b. The pointed edge ca\f be used to clea\f crevices c. The indented edge ca\f be used to clea\f curved areas 3. E\fsure the tool spra\b tip is poi\fti\fg dow\fward.
