    If your appliance is fitted with a   
    nonrewireable BS 1363 plug it must not be 
    used unless a 13 amp (ASTA approved to BS 
    1362) fuse is fitted in the carrier contained 
    in the plug. (Spares may be obtained from 
    your BISSELL supplier). If for any reason the 
    plug is cut off, it must be disposed of, as it is 
    an electric shock hazard should it be inserted

    Assembly 
    The \fnly \b\f\fl y\fu’ll need \b\f assemble 
    y\fur vacuum cleaner is a Phillips 
    screwdriver.
    A\b\bach handle \b\f vacuum
    1. Locate the handle and cord wrap. Remove 
    the screw packet taped to the handle.
    2.  Stand the vacuum upright and from the 
    rear of the unit, slide the base of the 
    handle firmly into the grooves at the top 
    of the vacuum body. 
    3.  Ensure that the handle fits firmly to the vacuum 
    body. If there are any gaps, continue to push 
    firmly until the handle is secure.
    4.  Insert the provided screw into the existing 
    hole, attaching the handle to the body of the 
    vacuum. Tighten securely with a screwdriver.

    1. Attach the Twist ‘n Snap™ Hose by lining up 
    the tabs on the base with the corresponding 
    notches on the back of the vacuum as shown.
    2.  Turn the Twist ‘n Snap Hose to the right 
    to lock the hose into place. 
    3.  Grasping the Quick Reach Handle, slide the 
    end of the Hose Wand onto the Hose Wand 
    Base. Snap the Hose into the Hose Clip.
    NOTE: The vacuum will n\f\b \fpera\be 
    effec\bively unless \bhe h\fse wand is 
    firmly a\b\bached.
    4. Slide the extension wand and crevice tool 
    into the storage clip on back of vacuum. 
    5.  Slide the dusting brush/upholstery tool 
    into the storage clip on back of vacuum. 
    6.  Store the TurboBrush on the front of the 
    handle by lining up the TurboBrush base 
    with the base of the holder then push 
    back to snap into place.

    CAUTION:   Before us\fng your vacuum, ma\be 
    sure that the d\frt conta\fner \fs \fn the 
    loc\bed pos\ft\fon and that all f\flters 
    (pre-motor and HEPA med\fa post-
    motor) are \fn place. Do not operate 
    your vacuum w\fthout these f\flters. 
    NOTICE:  For above floor clean\fng, the floor brush 
    w\fll cont\fnue to rotate, but \fs ra\fsed 
    above floor. To prevent carpet damage, 
    do not lean on the vacuum or let the 
    powerfoot t\flt forward.

    The P\fwer Swi\bch is l\fca\bed \fn \bhe lef\b 
    side \ff \bhe vacuum. Push \bhe r\fcker 
    swi\bch “ON” (I) \b\f vacuum, and “OFF” 
    (O) when cleaning is c\fmple\be.

    Press \bhe handle release pedal, l\fca\bed 
    \fn \bhe l\fwer lef\b side \ff \bhe vacuum, wi\bh

    1. Upright –  For storage and above floor 
    cleaning with tools.
    2.  Norma\f C\feaning – \fress handle 
    release pedal once. \fosition used for most   
    household floor cleaning tasks. 
    3.  \bow C\feaning – With the vacuum in 
    normal cleaning position, press handle 
    release pedal again. Use for reaching 
    under low furniture such as tables, chairs 
    or beds.

    1. To move your cleaner from room to room, 
    put the handle in the upright position, tilt 
    the cleaner back on its rear wheels and 
    push forward.
    2.  The cleaner can also be moved by using 
    the carry handle.

    1.  Raise the handle to the upright position.
    2.  Grasp the hose wand handle to separate 
    from hose wand base.
    3.  Attach tools by firmly pushing onto vacu-
    um hose, hose wand or extension wand. 
    Be sure the hose and tool fit snuggly 
    together by twisting tightly.
    Dusting Brush/Upho\fstery Too\f:  Two types of cleaning tools in one attachment. 
    • Use brush side to dust furniture, 
    blinds, books, lamps, shelves and 
    baseboards. 
    •  Use upholstery side for cushions,   
    draperies and fabrics. 
    Crevice Too\f: Use in tight narrow spaces.  
    Extension Wand: Use with desired attachment  for a longer reach.
    Hose Wand: Use with desired attachment  for a longer reach or for cleaning hard to 
    reach places.
    TurboBrush: Use rotating brush action for  small flat areas such as cushions and beds. 
    NOTE: Press gen\bly d\fwn and pull

    CAUTION: T\be rotatin\f floor brus\b continues

    reduce t\be risk of injury from mov -
    in\f parts, always move t\be cleaner

    place vacuum cleaner on t\be floor

    P\fwer c\frd usage 
    1. To use your vacuum, remove the cord 
    and plug it into an electrical outlet. 
    For your convenience, there is a quick 
    release cord wrap for easy cord remov-
    al. There is also a cord clip that is part 
    of the upper cord wrap where you can 
    attach the cord when vacuuming.
    2.  When you are finished cleaning, turn 
    vacuum cleaner off.
    3.  Unplug power cord by grasping the plug 
    (\bOT the cord) and disconnect from outlet.
    4.  Loop power cord around cord wraps on 
    side of vacuum cleaner. Be sure to first 
    return the quick release cord wrap back 
    to its original position before wrapping 
    the cord.
    5.  Clip molded plug to power cord to secure.

    1.  Empty the dirt container when the dirt 
    reaches the “Full” line on the container, or 
    more frequently to prevent overfills. For best 
    performance, empty after each use. 
    2.  Check the pre-motor filter and post-motor 
    HE\fA media filter at least once a month, 
    clean or replace as needed. 
    3.  Replace the post-motor HE\fA media fil-
    ter every three to six months. 
    NOTE: M\fre frequen\b fil\ber cleaning 
    may be necessary if y\fu are vacu-
    uming new carpe\b, fine dus\b, \fr 
    have allergy c\fncerns. F\fll\fw \bhe

    1.  Unplug the vacuum from electrical out-
    let.
    2.  Slide the Lock ‘n Seal Lever to the 
    “Unlock” position.
    3.  Grasp handle and pull the dirt container 
    straight out to remove from the vacuum.
    4.  Empty dirt into garbage container. 
    NOTE: Emp\bying \bhe dir\b c\fn\bainer 
    af\ber every use will help preven\b 
    \fver filling and ensure \bha\b \bhe 
    vacuum is ready \b\f g\f \bhe nex\b 
    \bime y\fu clean.
     
    1. Unplu\f t\be vacuum from electrical outlet.
    2.  T\be pre-motor filter protects t\be motor from 
    dirt particles. It is located in t\be slide out 
    tray underneat\b t\be dirt container. If t\be 
    filter becomes dirty, pull out t\be tray, lift 
    out t\be foam filter pad and clean it. 
    NOTE: The pre-motor fi\fter may be 
    hand washed in co\fd water with 
    mi\fd detergent. Rinse we\f\f and air 
    dry thorough\fy before rep\facing. 
    3.  T\be post-motor HEPA media filter assists 
    in t\be filtration process to return clean air 
    to t\be room. It is located be\bind t\be door 
    on t\be side of t\be vacuum. If t\be filter 
    becomes dirty, remove t\be door, remove 
    t\be filter and replace. 
    NOTE: The post-motor fi\fter is 
    a white, p\feated HEPA media 
    fi\fter. This fi\fter is not washab\fe 
    and must be rep\faced when it 
    becomes dirty.

    You shou\fd check your vacuum c\feaner’s 
    rotating f\foor brush and drive be\ft regu -
    \far\fy for wear or damage. You shou\fd a\fso 
    c\fean the brush and brush ends of strings, 
    hair and carpet fibers. This type of debris 
    can wrap around the brush and hamper 
    its abi\fity to effective\fy c\fean your carpet. 
    A\fso remove any debris that has accumu -
    \fated under the brush cover. 
    1.  Unplu\f t\be vacuum from electrical outlet.
    2.  Place \bandle in low position and turn vacuum 
    cleaner over so bottom side is facin\f up. 
    3.  Remove t\be two screws marked 2 and 
    4. Once t\be screws are removed, lift tab 
    1 and release t\be t\bree latc\bes in order 
    marked 2 - 4. Lift off t\be brus\b cover  
    4.  Grasp rotatin\f floor brus\b at bot\b ends and lift.
    5.  Clean strin\fs, \bair and ot\ber debris from 
    rotatin\f floor brus\b, payin\f particular   
    attention to brus\b ends.
    6.  Clean strin\fs, \bair and ot\ber debris from 
    motor pulley and drive belt areas. 
    7.  C\beck drive belt carefully for wear, cuts or 
    stressed areas.  
    8.  C\beck air passa\feway for obstructions. 
    Remove debris from t\bis area.    
    9.  Insert front ed\fe of t\be brus\b cover and 
    rotate into place. Snap t\be latc\bes and 
    replace t\be two screws.
    Rep\face drive be\ft
    1. Unplu\f t\be vacuum from electrical outlet.
    2.  Wit\b rotatin\f floor brus\b removed from vacuum 
    cleaner (Steps 1-4 of c\beck rotatin\f floor brus\b 
    and drive belt), \frasp old drive belt and remove 
    from motor pulley. Discard t\be old drive belt. 
    Check r\f\ba\bing fl\f\fr brush and drive bel\b

    vacuum cleaner off and   
    disconnect power plu\f from 
    electrical outlet.
