    Your Healthy Home Pet Clean comes 
    in five easy to assemble components: • Handle assembly
    •  Upper body assembly
    •  Upper hose rack
    •  Lower body assembly
    •  Lower hose rack
    Three Phillips head screws are 
    included and can be found taped to 
    the handle assembly.
    The only tool you will need to 
    assemble your cleaner is a Phillips 
    head screwdriver.
    1.  Sl\bde upper body assembly onto lower 
    body and secure w\bth two screws.
    2.  W\bth the “tabs” on upper hose rack 
    po\bnt\bng toward top of handle, attach 
    upper hose rack to handle assembly 
    by sl\bd\bng \bt to top of handle unt\bl \bt 
    can go no further. Turn hose rack unt\bl 
    \bt snaps \bnto place.
    3.  Sl\bde handle assembly down \bnto upper 
    body unt\bl \bt w\bll go no further and 
    secure w\bth screw.
    4.  Attach lower hose rack to back of 
    upper body by push\bng \bnto open slots 
    and sl\bd\bng down unt\bl \bt snaps \bnto 
    place.
    5.  Wrap flex hose around hose rack and 
    secure \bt \bnto notched out holder as 
    shown.

    Your BISSELL Healthy Home Pet Clean 
    is a home cleaning system that uses 
    a combination of hand hot tap water, 
    BISSELL advanced cleaning formula, 
    brush agitation and suction to safely 
    clean carpets.

    ™ Powerbrush
    The D\brtL\bfter PowerBrush \bs des\bgned  to 
    enhance clean\bng performance. The br\bstle pat -
    tern safely l\bfts out the deep down d\brt wh\ble 
    gently groom\bng carpet f\bbers. The float\bng 
    suspens\bon self-adjusts to all carpet he\bghts. 
    When the power \bs ON and the mach\bne \bs \bn 
    the upr\bght pos\bt\bon, your carpet \bs protected 
    because the brushes are l\bfted up off the carpet.

    ™ Dial
    The Ready Tools feature allows you to  choose 
    between FLOOR CLEANING or clean\bng w\bth 
    TOOLS s\bmply by turn\bng the d\bal. The TOOLS 
    sett\bng allows for above floor clean\bng of   
    upholstery, sta\brs, creases along baseboards, 
    and other hard to reach areas. S\bmply choose 
    the tool that \bs appropr\bate for the job, attach to 
    flex hose and you are ready to go.

    Your deep cleaner \bs equ\bpped w\bth a  measur\bng 
    cup for add\bng the proper amount of formula to 
    the 2-\bn-1 tank.  For conven\bence the measur\bng 
    cup \bs bu\blt \bnto the l\bd of the 2-\bn-1 tank.
    2-in-1 water tank
    Our 2-\bn-1 water tank system \bs  des\bgned w\bth 
    a heavy duty bladder \bns\bde for clean water. 
    As you clean, the clean water \bn the bladder 
    w\bll empty and m\bx w\bth the clean\bng formula. 
    D\brty water pulled out of your carpet w\bll collect 
    around the outs\bde of the bladder so clean and 
    d\brty water are always kept separate. Th\bs allows 
    the user to max\bm\bze tank space, yet only carry 
    one tank to and from the s\bnk for empty\bng and 
    f\bll\bng.
    Microban® antibacterial protection
    Mi\broban antiba\bterial prote\btion helps prevent 
    the growth of harmful \bommon household ba\bteria 
    in\bluding  E. coli, Salmonella  and Staph. a . It helps 
    to keep the unit fresher and \bleaner between uses.
    ATTENTION: Some Berber carpets have a tendency to 
    fuzz w\bth wear. Repeated strokes \bn the 
    same area w\bth an ord\bnary vacuum or 
    deep cleaner may aggravate th\bs cond\bt\bon.

    Carpet prote\btion applied at the mill typi-
    \bally wears down over time from heavy foot 
    traffi\b and everyday \bleaning, in\bluding 
    deep \bleaning. To help restore this impor-
    tant prote\btion, only BISSELL offers \bleaning   
    formulas with S\bot\bhgard prote\btor. This 
    offers extra prote\btion against dirt and 
    tough stains to keep your \barpets looking 
    good longer. 
    To maintain your S\bot\bhgard 5-year limited 
    stain warranty, you no longer are required 
    to hire a professional. By using your BISSELL 
    ma\bhine with BISSELL formulas   
    \bontaining S\bot\bhgard prote\btor every 12 
    months, your \barpet warranty from 3M 
    remains in effe\bt. No other home deep 
    \bleaning system \ban do this for you.
    Before you clean
    1.  Plan act\bv\bt\bes to g\bve your carpet t\bme 
    to dry.
    2.  Move furniture to another area \bf 
    clean\bng an ent\bre room (opt\bonal).
    3.  Vacuum area w\bth a dry vacuum 
    cleaner before deep clean\bng.
    4.  Plan your clean\bng route to leave an ex\bt 
    path. It \bs best to beg\bn clean\bng \bn the 
    corner farthest from your ex\bt.  
    5.  Pretreating  (opt\bonal)
    Pretreat\bng \bs recommended to \bmprove   
    clean\bng effect\bveness for heav\bly so\bled carpet 
    \bn h\bgh traff\bc areas such as entry ways   
    and hallways.
    To pretreat:
    A.  \fs\bng the BISSELL Tough Sta\bn 
    Precleaner, generously spray 
    evenly over so\bled area, do not 
    overwet.
    B.  Wa\bt 3-5 m\bnutes before deep 
    clean\bng.
    C.  Clean as normal us\bng your BISSELL 
    deep cleaner, follow\bng the   
    \bnstruct\bons below.

    Fill the 2-in-1 water tank
    1. Remove the tank from the base of the 
    mach\bne by l\bft\bng the tank carry handle.
    2.  Carry l\bke a bucket to the s\bnk. Rotate 
    the handle forward to unlatch the l\bd. 
    Remove l\bd, turn over and locate bu\blt \bn 
    measur\bng cup.
    3.  F\bll w\bth BISSELL 2X formula to the 
    \bnd\bcated f\bll l\bne on the bu\blt \bn   
    measur\bng cup and pour \bnto mouth 
    of the bladder.
    4.  F\bll the bladder w\bth clean hand hot 
    tap water.   
    *Do not boil or microwave 
    water as it can destroy the 
    bladder.
    5.   Replace the top of the tank by 
    match\bng the l\bd and tank edges. 
    Handle must be \bn the forward pos\b-
    t\bon \bn order to replace l\bd. Rotate 
    the handle to the carry\bng pos\bt\bon to 
    latch the l\bd. 
    Note: Remember to secure the lid 
    and test to make sure it is secure 
    before picking up the tank.
    \b.  Place tank \bnto mach\bne base, seat\bng 
    f\brmly \bn place. Rotate tank handle back \bnto latched pos\bt\bon. 
    \b.
    Tip: Thorough vacuum\bng 
    before deep clean\bng w\bll 
    prevent early clogg\bng of 
    the l\bnt trap.

    Carpet cleaning
    1. Plug the deep cleaner \bnto a proper 
    outlet. Turn the power ON by press\bng 
    the red power sw\btch on the back of the 
    un\bt w\bth your foot.
    2.  W\bth your foot, press the gray handle 
    release lever located on the back of un\bt 
    below water tank.
    3.  Wh\ble press\bng the spray tr\bgger, make 
    one slow forward wet pass and another 
    back. Let the BISSELL 2X advanced 
    deep clean\bng formula and D\brtL\bfter 
    PowerBrush do the work for you. 
    Caution: Do not overwet.
    4.  Release the spray tr\bgger and make one 
    slow forward and backward pass over 
    the same area to remove any res\bdual 
    d\brty water and a\bd \bn dry\bng.
    5.  Repeat clean\bng passes unt\bl solu-
    t\bon be\bng pulled up appears clean. 
    Cont\bnue passes w\bthout press\bng the 
    tr\bgger unt\bl you can’t see any more 
    water be\bng suct\boned up.
    1.  Turn power sw\btch OFF.  Remove the 2-\bn-1 
    water tank from the base us\bng the tank carry 
    handle. Carry the tank l\bke a bucket to a 
    ut\bl\bty s\bnk or outs\bde where you w\bll d\bspose 
    of the collect\bon water. Remove the top of 
    the tank by rotat\bng the handle forward to 
    unlatch l\bd and l\bft\bng l\bd off tank.
    2 .  Empty collect\bon water from bottom of tank.
    3.   After each use, remove and r\bnse the l\bnt 
    screen located on the tank l\bd. 
    4.   If nozzle needs to be cleaned, remove by 
    grasp\bng handle at the top and pull\bng for -
    ward. Clean removable nozzle by r\bns\bng 
    under runn\bng water.  
    5.   When f\bn\bshed, replace nozzle by sl\bghtly 
    ra\bs\bng front of mach\bne to l\bne up slots on 
    the base w\bth the hooks on nozzle. Attach at 
    base f\brst and then cl\bck nozzle \bnto place. 
    NOTE: If nozzle is not attached prop -
    erly loss of suction will occur.
    Empty the 2-in-1 water tank/clean removable nozzle

    \b.  To cont\bnue carpet clean\bng, refer back to 
    pages 8 through 9, beg\bnn\bng w\bth “F\bll 
    the 2-\bn-1 water tank” on page 8.
    If cleaning is complete, refer to the 
    “Maintenance and care” section on 
    page 12.
    Ready Tools™ 
    Your Healthy Home Pet Clean comes 
    equipped with a hose and at least one 
    attachment for cleaning stairs, uphol -
    stery, and more.
    Important! If using the machine 
    to clean upholstery, check uphol-
    stery tags.
    1.   Check manufacturer’s tag before clean\bng. 
    “W” or “WS” on the tag means you can 
    use your deep cleaner. If the tag \bs coded 
    w\bth “X” or “S” (w\bth a d\bagonal str\bke 
    through), or says “Dry Clean Only,” do 
    not proceed. Do not use on velvet or s\blk. If 
    manufacturer’s tag \bs m\bss\bng or not coded, 
    check w\bth your furn\bture dealer. 
    2.   Check for colourfastness \bn an 
    \bnconsp\bcuous place.
    3.   If poss\bble, check upholstery stuff\bng. 
    Coloured stuff\bng may bleed through fabr\bc 
    when wet.
    4.   Plan act\bv\bt\bes to g\bve upholstery t\bme to dry.
    5.   Vacuum thoroughly to p\bck up loose debr\bs 
    and pet ha\br. \fse a vacuum w\bth a brush 
    attachment and a crev\bce tool to clean \bn 
    fabr\bc folds and tufts.
    \b.   To beg\bn clean\bng w\bth attachments,  follow 
    the \bnstruct\bons on pages 7-8 for f\bll\bng the 
    2-\bn-1 water tank.
    7.   Set the ReadyTools d\bal to the TOOLS set -
    t\bng. Th\bs w\bll allow spray and suct\bon from 
    the hose. 
    8.   Attach the clean\bng tool to the end of t he 
    hose.
