How to adjust your monitor The control panel 1. “i key”: Adjust vertical position, phase, horizontal position and pixel clock automatically. 2. “MENU” key: Activate OSD main menu and return to the previous menu or exit OSD. 3. W /Mode key: For Left/Decrease adjustment. Left key is the hot key for Mode. 4. X /Contrast/Brightness key: For Right/Increase adjustment. Right key is the hot key for Brightness and Contrast. 5. “ENTER” key: Enter sub menus and select items. 6. “Power”: Turn the power on or off. OSD = On Screen Display. The hot-keys will display a graduated scale for adjusting the value of that setting, and will only operate while the OSD menu is not currently displaying. Hot-key displays will disappear after a few seconds of no key activity. See Hot key mode on page 23.

23 How to adjust your monitor Hot key mode The monitor keys perform as hotkeys to provide direct access to particular functions whenever the menu isnt currently displaying on-screen. Brightness and Contrast hot keys Mode hot keyPress the X key to display the Brightness and Contrast indicators. Further press the the W or X keys, then the ENTER key to select Brightness or Contrast. The X key will increase the level, while the W key will decrease the level. To exit, press the MENU key. Press the W key continually to switch between the 5 modes for the main window, including Standard, Movie, Dynamics, Photo, and sRGB. The setting will take effect immediately. 24 How to adjust your monitor Main menu mode You can use the OSD (On Screen Display) menu to adjust all the settings on your monitor. Press the MENU key to display the following main OSD menu. There are 14 different menu languages, see “Language on page 30” under “OSD Settings” for more details. Press the X key to increase the contrast and press the W key to decrease the contrast.0 to 100 Sharpness Adjusts the clarity and visibility of the edges of the subjects in the image.Press the X key to improve the crispness of the display and press the W key to have softness effect on the display.1 to 5 Color - Press ENTER to enter the Color menu. Normal Allows video and still photographs to be viewed with natural coloring. This is the factory default color. Press the W or X keys to select this option. Bluish Applies a cool tint to the image and is factory pre-set to the PC industry standard white color. Reddish Applies a warm tint to the image and is factory pre-set to the news print standard white color.
27 How to adjust your monitor User Mode Tailors the image color tint. The blend of the Red, Green and Blue primary colors can be altered to change the color tint of the image. The default start setting is 50. Decreasing one or more of the colors will reduce their respective influence on the color tint of the image. e.g. if you reduce the Blue level the image will gradually take on a yellowish tint. If you reduce Green, the image will become a magenta tint.Press the W or X keys and the ENTER key to select Red, Green, or Blue. Then use the W or X keys to make the color adjustments.• Red (0 to 100) • Green (0 to 100) • Blue (0 to 100) Reset Color Resets the User Mode custom color settings to the factory defaults.
