Mac Pro (8x) Take Apart — Optical Drive Data (Ribbon) Cable 111 Optical Drive Data (Ribbon) Cable Tools The only tool required for this procedure is a magnetized #1 Phillips screwdriver. Insert the cable into the opening in the media shelf at hard drive bay 1 and remove the 4. cable from the enclosure.

Once you remove the ambient board, you may have to apply new adhesive before reattaching the same ambient board. Replacement ambient boards come with adhesive already in place. Disconnect the ambient board cable from the ambient board.2. Using a jeweler’s flat-blade screwdriver, carefully pry the board from the enclosure. 3.
