iBook G4 (14-inch) Take Apart - 110 Heatsink: iBook G4 (14-inch)3. Remove the following from the heatsink: • Two 7-mm long hex screws with captive springs • Two 4.5-mm long Phillips screws • Two 3-mm long Phillips screws • One 2-mm long Phillips screw • One 2-mm long hex nut Replacement Note: When replacing the heatsink, install the screws and hex nut in the order shown.

Use caution when removing or replacing the heatsink. Lift the heatsink and fan out of the computer assembly. 5. Refer to the next procedure—Fan—if you are replacing the heatsink and need to transfer the existing fan to the new heatsink.
