Adjusting Viewing Angle 
For optimal viewing it is recommended to look at the full face of the monitor, then adjust the monitors angle to your 
own preference.   
Hold the stand so you will not topple the moni tor when you change the monitors angle.   
You are able to adjust the monitors angle from -5° to 20 °.   
 
 
NOTE: 
Do not touch the LCD screen when you change the a ngle. It may cause damage or break the LCD screen.

Connecting the Monitor 
Cable Connections On Back of Monitor and Computer: 
 
1. Power   
2. Analog (DB-15 VGA cable)     
3. Audio   
   
To protect equipment, always turn off the PC and LCD monitor before connecting.   
 
1      Connect the power cable to the AC port on the back of the monitor.   
2      Connect one end of the 15-pin D-Sub cable to the back of the monitor and conn ect the other end to the 
computers D-Sub port.   
3      Connect the audio cable to audio in port on the back of the monitor.   
4   Turn on your monitor and computer.  
 
If your monitor displays an image, installation is complete. If it does not display an image, please refer 
Troubleshooting.

Wall Mounting 
Preparing to Install An Optional Wall Mounting Arm.   
 
This monitor can be attached to a wall mounting arm you purchase separately. Disconnect power before this 
procedure. Follow these steps: 
 
1   Remove the base.  
2   Follow the manufacturers instructions to assemble the wall mounting arm.   
3      Place the wall mounting arm onto t he back of the monitor. Line up the holes of the arm with the holes in the 
back of the monitor.   
4      Insert the 4 screws into the holes and tighten.   
5      Reconnect the cables.    Refer to the users m anual that came with the optional wall mounting arm for 
instructions on attaching it to the wall.   
 
Noted :    VESA mounting screw holes are not available for all models, please check with the dealer or official 
department of AOC.   
 
Distance between the wall-mount holes : 100 x 100 mm

Setting Optimal Resolution 
Windows Vista   
For Windows Vista: 
1 Click START.  
 
2 Click CONTROL PANEL. 
 
 
3 Click Appearance and Personalization.

6 Set the resolution SLIDE-BAR to 1366 by 768.

For Windows XP: 
1 Click START.

4 Click Appearance and Themes.

For Windows ME/2000: 
1 Click START.

5 Click SETTINGS. 
6 Set the resolution SLIDE-BAR to 1366 by 768.

Hotkeys 
 
Power 
Press to turn on or turn off the monitor. 
 
Menu / Enter     
    Press to activate OSD, then press Up or Down to navig ate through the functions. Once the desired function is 
highlighted, press the Menu button to activate the submenu.  In sub-menu, Press Up or Down to navigate through 
the functions. Once the desired function  is highlighted, press Up or Down button to change the setting. Select Exit 
icon then press Menu button to return to superior menu.  
4:3 or wide   / Up    
       Press key to change the screen aspect ratio between standard 4 ：3format or Wide format.    When the input 
resolution is wide format, the aspect ratio hotkey is disa bled. When the main menu or sub-menu is active, the 
key functions as to select up or increase value.      
Volume(Auto) / Down     
     When there is no OSD, press the key to activate Volume  and auto function, then press Up or Down to select 
Volume or Auto configure function. Once the Volume icon  is selected, press Menu button to activate it, and press 
Up or Down to change the setting, press Menu button fo r confirmation and exit OSD . Once the Auto icon is 
selected, press Menu button to do auto co nfigure and exit OSD . If the product has no speaker built-in, to press the 
Down key is to do auto configure directly. When it is DVI or HDMI input, auto configure function is disabled and the 
auto icon is gray.   
OSD Lock Function   
      To lock the OSD, press and hold the MENU button while t he monitor is off and then press power button to turn 
the monitor on. To un-lock the OSD , press and hold the ME NU button while the monitor is off and then press power 
button to turn the monitor on.

OSD Setting 
 
Basic and simple instruction on the control keys. 
 
 
When you press the MENU button on the front control of your monitor, the On DOWN Screen Display (OSD) Main 
Controls window will pop up and you can then start making  adjustments to your monitors various features. Use the 
UP  or  DOWN  keys to make your adjustments. Follow the steps below to activate the adjustment. 
 
1) Press the  MENU key to activate the OSD window. 
 
2) Press UP or  DOWN  to navigate through the functions. Once the desired function is highlighted, press the MENU 
key to activate it. If the functi on selected has a sub-menu, press  UP or  DOWN  again to navigate through the 
sub-menu functions. Once the desired function is highlighted, press  MENU key to activate it. 
 
3) Press UP or DOWN  to change the settings of the selected function. Press  MENU key to exit and save, select the 
exit function. If you want to adjust an y other function, repeat steps 2-3. 
 
4) OSD Lock Function: To lock the OSD, press and hold the  MENU key while the monitor is off and then press 
power button to turn the monitor on. To unlock the OSD, press and hold the MENU key while the monitor is off and 
then press power button to turn the monitor on.
