Para Español, consulte al reverso 1. Measure• Tack string to fascia as a guide and level (A) • Lower string toward Downspout location • Slope ¼ inch per 10 feet of gutter (Fig. 1.1) 4. Attach Mitres • At corners of house, attach Mitre to gutter with Seamers • Apply Gutter Sealant to inside of Mitre joint and Seamer connections (Fig. 4.1) 6. Accessories• Use Downspout Extension, Splashblock, Dripper Flipper, Flex-A-Spout ® or Extend- A-Spout™ to get water further away from foundation (Fig. 5.4) • Use Strainers and Diamond Gutter Shield or Gutter Guards to prevent leaves and debris from clogging Gutters • Use Drip Edge under shingles to prevent runoff from flowing between fascia and Gutter • For Outlet use: - trace the small end of Outlet on the outside of Gutter - drill a pilot hole and cut with tin snips (Fig. 5.1). • Join Downspouts and Elbows by fitting smaller crimped end into larger end of next piece • Force parts together tightly • Secure with Sheet metal screws • Attach an A or B Elbow at bottom to direct water away from foundation (Fig. 5.2) • Fasten Downspouts snugly against wall with 2 Bands per 10 foot section • Fasten Bands with nails or screws (Fig. 5.3) 2. Assemble Gutter • Begin at end opposite from Downspout • Apply Gutter Sealant to end cap, attach to Gutter • Join Gutter lengths using Seamers (Fig. 2.1) 3. Install Hangers • Use one Hanger for every 24 inch of gutter • Every 18 inch, for heavy ice and snowload areas (Fig. 3.1) 5. Attach Downspouts• Connect Downspouts to Gutter with an End with Drop or an Outlet • Connect End with Drop with a Seamer • Apply Gutter Sealant to End with Drop and Seamer • If at end of run, connect End Cap to end with Drop Fig. 5.3 Fig. 5.4 Fig. 5.2 1/2 in. 1/4 in. 10 ft.
