youthatanunwantedalarmcanbepreventedifyoutakeaction:

period,‘thesoundscontinueuntilthe-systemisdisarmed(oralarmsounder
timeoutoccurs).Theconsoledisplays“EXITALARM”or“EA”aswellasazone
indication.An“exitalarm”messaaewillbesenttothecentralstation.
h/ote:Thelatter“EXITALARM”conditionsalsoresultifanalarmfromanexit
orinteriorzoneoccurswithintwominutesaftertheendofanexitdelay.
Inanyoftheabovecases,asecondOFF
sequence(securitycode+OFFkey)
willcleartheconsoledisplay.
CHIMEMODE
Yoursystemcanbesettoalertyoutotheopeningofadoororwindowwhileitis
disarmedbyusingCHIMEmode.Whenactivated,threetoneswillsoundatthe
Consolewheneveradoororwindowisopened.PressingtheREADYkeywill
displaytheopenprotectionpoints.
ToturnChimeModeon,enterthesecuritycodeandpresstheCHIMEkey.
TheCHIMEmessagewillappear.
ToturnChimeModeoff,enterthesecuritycodeandpresstheCHIMEkey
again.TheCHIMEmessagewilldisappear.

Yoursystemmayhavebeenprogrammedtousespecialkeysorcombinations
ofkeystomanuallyactivateemergency(panic)functions.The
functionsthat
might
beprogrammedare:SilentEmergency,AudibleEmergency,Personal
Emergency,andFire.
Asilentemergencysendsasilentalarmsignaltothecentralstation’,but
thereisnoaudiblealarmorvisualdisplay.
Anaudibleemergencysendsasignaltothecentralstation*andsoundsa
loud,steadyalarmatyourconsole(s)andatanyexternalsoundersthatmaybe
connected(ALARMplusazonenumberisalsodisplayed).
Apersonalemergencyalarmsendsanemergencymessagetothecentral
station*andsoundsatconsole(s),butnotatexternalbellsorsirens.
Afirealarmsendsafirealarmmessagetothecentralstation*anduniquely
soundsatconsole(s)andexternalbellsandsirens(FIREplusazonenumberis
alsodisplayed).

TheTESTkeyputsyoursystemintoTestmode,whichallowseachprotection
pointtobecheckedforproperoperation.

EnteryoursecuritycodeandpresstheTESTkey.
Withsomesystems,astheTestmodeisentered,theexternalsirenorbell
willsoundforonesecondandthenturnoff.Withothersystems,thissound
willoccur,instead,aseachzoneisfaultedinthefollowingsteps.
Eachtimeaprotectionzoneisfaulted,theconsolesounds3beeps.
Theconsolewillsoundasinglebeepevery40secondsasareminderthat
thesystemisinthetestmode.
Ifthesesoundsdonotoccur,callforserviceimmediately.
Openandcloseeachprotecteddoorandwindowinturnandlistenforthe
requiredsoundsTheidentificationofeachfaultedprotectionpointshould
appearonthedisplay.
Walkinfrontofanyinteriormotiondetectors(ifused)andlistenforthe
requiredsoundasmovementisdetected.Theidentificationofthedetector
shouldappearonthedisplay
whenitisactivated.
A/ofe:WirelessPIR(PassiveInfrared)unitswillsendsignalsoutonlyifthey
havebeeninactivefor3minutes.
Followthemanufacturer’sinstructionstotestallsmoke
detectors,toensure
thatallarefunctioningproperly.Theidentificationofeachdetectorshould
appearonthedisplay
wheneachisactivated.

IftheCHECKdisplayrelatestoafirezone,CALLFORSERVICE

Determineifthezone(s)displayedareintactandmakethemsoiftheyare
not.Iftheproblemhasbeencorrected,thedisplaycanbeclearedifyou

Clearitbyfanningthedetectorforabout30seconds.
Whentheproblemhasbeencorrected,clearthedisplaybyenteringyour
codeandpressingtheOFFkey.
