Chapter 3 67 Removing the Battery Pack 1. Push the battery release button inward. 2. Slide the battery pack out from the main unit. 3. To replace the battery pack into the main unit, be sure that the triangular point in the battery pack matches with the point in the lower case.

68 Removal and Replacement Removing the Hard Disk Drive 1. Remove the screw of the hard disk module. 2. Slide the hard disk module out from its bay. Disassembling the Hard Disk Drive 1. Gently, detach the connector from the hard disk module. 2. Remove the two screws on both sides of the hard disk module. 3. Remove the hard disk plate from the hard disk module.

Chapter 3 69 4. Slide the hard disk out from the hard disk drive bezel. 5. This completes the disassembly procedure of the hard disk drive. Disassembling the Middle Cover 1. To remove the middle cover, first remove the two screws at the back of the main unit. 2. Use a flatbladed screwdriver to lift up the middle cover from the lower case. 3. Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board. 4. Lift the middle cover away.
