Metal Halide Projector Lamp If the projected image appears dark or the LAMP indicator light comes on, the lamp may be getting old and in need of replacement. Under normal operating conditions, the lamp should last approximately 700 hours. However, after time the lamp will slowly grow dimmer. For best results, replace the lamp after 700 hours of usage.
