Identification numbers 
Record the Primary Identification (PRI-ID)
number, Hull Identification Number (HIN), and
engine serial number in the spaces provided
for assistance when ordering genuine parts
from a Yamaha dealer. Also record and keep
these ID numbers in a separate place in case
your watercraft is stolen.

This engine conforms to U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) and/or California Air
Resources Board (CARB) regulations for ma-
rine SI engines applicable at the time of man-
ufacture.
This engine is certified to operate on regular
unleaded gasoline.

This label is attached to the top of the cylinder
head and to the inside of the engine compart-

One Star - Low Emission
The one-star label identifies engines that
meet the Air Resources Board’s PersonalWatercraft and Outboard marine engine 2001
exhaust emission standards. Engines meet-
ing these standards have 75% lower...

than One Star-Low Emission engines.
Four Stars - Super Ultra Low Emission
The four-star label identifies engines that
meet the Air Resources Board’s Sterndrive
and Inboard marine engine 2009 exhaust
emission standards. Personal Watercraft and
Outboard marine engines may also comply
with these standards. Engines meeting these
standards have 90% lower emissions than
One Star-Low Emission engines.
