Printing on Specialty Media Phaser® 4510 Laser Printer 3-35 ■For Monarch and DL envelopes, place the envelopes in the tray flap-side down with the top of the envelope entering first. 3.Insert the tray into the tray slot, and push the tray completely into the printer. 4.On the control panel, select the envelope type and size: a.Select Paper Tray Setup, and then press the OK button. b.Select Tr a y 2 Pa p e r, Tr a y 3 P a p e r, or Tr a y 4 P a p e r, and then press the OK button. c.If the size is correct and Envelope is displayed as the current paper type, select Use current setup and then press the OK button. To order paper, transparencies, or other specialty media, contact your local reseller or go to www.xerox.com/office/4510supplies . See also: Paper Sizes and Weights for Trays 1-4 on page 3-6 Loading Paper on page 3-7 Guidelines ■Do not use vinyl labels. ■Print only on one side of the sheet of labels. ■Do not use any sheet where labels are missing; it may damage the printer. ■Store unused labels flat in their original packaging. Leave the sheets of labels inside the original packaging until ready to use. Return any unused sheets of labels to the original packaging and reseal it. ■Do not store labels in extremely dry or humid conditions or extremely hot or cold conditions. Storing them in extreme conditions may cause print-quality problems or cause them to jam in the printer. ■Rotate stock frequently. Long periods of storage in extreme conditions can cause labels to curl and jam the printer. Note:Do not load the paper above the fill line indicated on the tray. Overloading the tray may cause jams. In the following illustration, 2 indicates the maximum fill line for labels. 5.Replace the lid on the tray. Caution:The lid of the tray must be firmly closed. Printing on Specialty Media Phaser® 4510 Laser Printer 3-42 Printing Index Cards from Tray 1 1.Pull the tray completely out of the printer. 2.Insert the 3 x 5 in. index cards into the tray with the side to be printed faceup with the top of the card toward the back of the tray. Printing Custom Size Paper In addition to the wide variety of standard paper sizes that you can use for printing, you can also print on custom size paper from any tray. The custom size paper must be within the following dimensions. Printing on Specialty Media Phaser® 4510 Laser Printer 3-44 Printing Custom Size Paper 1.Open the tray that you want to print custom paper from by pulling out on the handle. 2.Insert the paper into the tray, and adjust the paper guides to fit the paper. ■The maximum width is 216 mm (8.5 in.). ■For single-sided printing, if you are using preprinted or prepunched paper, place the side to be printed facedown with the top of the paper entering the printer first. ■For 2-sided printing, if you are using preprinted or prepunched paper, place the first side to be printed faceup with the bottom of the page entering the printer first. 3.Insert the tray into the tray slot, and push the tray completely into the printer. 4.On the control panel, select Change setup, and then press the OK button. 5.Select Custom Type, and then press the OK button. 6.Do one of the following: ■If your custom paper size is listed in the menu, select it, and then press the OKbutton. ■If your custom paper size is not listed in the menu, select New Custom Size, and then press the OK button. 4510-069 4510-044 Downloaded From ManualsPrinter.com Manuals
