SDC-18 “3D” LED Home Theater Projection System
    Introducing Wolf Cinema’s next-generation 2D/3D “lamp-less” home theater ensemble –
    the model SDC-18.
Sharing many of the attributes of our flagship LED ensemble, the more affordable SDC-18
features precision short-throw optics to deliver razor sharp images via its single 1920 x 1080
(1080p) DLP® chip set from Texas Instruments. But unlike most other single-chip projection
platforms, the SDC-18 eliminates the traditional UHP lamp and color wheel: this system
produces an image via three separate RGB (red, green, blue) high-current light emitting diodes
(LEDs). These LED emitter panels are superbly efficient light sources, with an extremely wide
color gamut that exceeds today’s HD standards by 20%. There’s no color wheel involved and
thus no visible “rainbow” artifacts or light flicker. And this technology’s exceptional black level
performance [rated at greater than 500,000:1 native CR] brings forth tremendous image detail
and enhanced depth of field, rendering the very finest and subtle shadow details with ease.
This exciting solution is delivered with our latest ProScaler MK III video processor – a
rack-mountable high performance video processor/scaler that provides for total control of
all imaging parameters, calibration accuracy and integration flexibility. The ProScaler MK III
boasts advanced multi-point CMS calibration capabilities, comprehensive noise reduction
algorithms, edge enhancement /detail processing and much more. The SDC-18 short throw
optics will facilitate extremely close placement to the theater screen [1.25-1.55:1 TD factor],
while incorporating our remarkable E-VariScope™ technique for viewing on constant height
CinemaScope® 2.35/2.40:1 screens – without the need for an anamorphic lens [ yet the system
remains fully compatible with external anamorphic lenses, as required or may be desired].
Most important, the SDC-18’s remarkable LED engine is rated to deliver accurate light output
for approximately 20,000 hours of continuous use in normal mode, facilitating years of viewing
excellence without ever having to endure a fading image, or change out a projector lamp!
The SDC-18 is yet another exciting high-performance home cinema projection solution from
    Wolf Cinema.
